Arena Stage is currently preparing to present the world-premiere musical Snow Child. Infused with a score that combines Alaskan string band-traditions with contemporary musical theater, Snow Child follows a couple rebuilding their lives in the Alaskan wilderness when they meet a magical and mysterious snow child who transforms them. Earlier this week, Feinstein's/54 Below welcomed stars from some of its upcoming shows- two-time Tony Award-winner Chita Rivera (March 6-22); two-time Tony and Emmy Award-winner Bebe Neuwirth (March 28-31); Christiane Noll with writer, host and creator Deborah Grace Winer (March 27), and The Book of Mormon's Donell James Foreman (March 19).

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presented the 30th Anniversary of No Way to Treat a Lady. A laugh-filled evening featuring songs from the Richard Rodgers Award winning musical by Douglas J. Cohen, based on the novel by William Goldman (The Princess Bride). MAC Award winner KLea Blackhurst (Hello, Dolly!, Goodspeed) and author Cohen co-host the event which will feature many of the performers from past productions, both off-Broadway at the York Theatre and Hudson Guild, and regionally (Florida Studio Theatre, Village Theater, Barrington Stage, TheaterWorks in Hartford, Coconut Grove in Florida, Colony Theater in L.A.), as well as photographs and footage from over a dozen international productions. Cohen will also reveal some of the show's unique history behind the scenes.

TheaterWorks will continue its 31st Season with NEXT TO NORMAL, running March 23 through April 30, 2017. The cast features Tony nominated Christiane Noll (Diana) and Australia's David Harris (Dan) in the Pulitzer Prize winning drama with music by Tom Kitt and book & lyrics by Brian Yorkey. Christiane is familiar to Connecticut audiences for her work at Goodspeed, Shubert, The Bushnell and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. David has been charming Australian audiences for years but recently relocated to New York. Local audiences have seen him in Terrance Mann's Les Miserable at Connecticut Repertory Theatre and Goodspeed's Anything Goes.

Award-winning non-for-profit Broadway Sings for Pride (www.BroadwaySingsForPride.com) held their 6th annual PRIDE benefit concert on Monday, June 20, 2016. To start the night, Daniel Quadrino, from Broadway's Wicked and Newsies, sang 'Imagine' to reflect on the tragedy that happened in Orlando. He was joined onstage by members of the New York community, to echo the sentiment that New York stands behind Orlando and that art can be used to inspire and change minds. Just last week, Des Moines Performing Arts, in partnership with the Des Moines Symphony, hosted a special guest with Iowa ties at the state's largest single-day concert event. The Yankee Doodle Pops concert on the Iowa State Capitol's West Terrace, welcomed three-time Tony Award®-winning composer Jason Robert Brown to conduct the orchestra in selections from Broadway's THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, featuring soloists Christiane Noll and Hugh Panaro. The musical, winner of the 2014 Tony Award for Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations, is famously set in Iowa and will launch its national tour at the Des Moines Civic Center November 28 - December 5.
