The first gay Broadway proposal happened last night at Priscilla Queen of the desert. Yuri Rodriguez proposed to his partner Stephen Troiano in front of a packed house of almost 1700 audience members at the Palace Theatre.

The cast of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL performed on the premiere results show of season 6 of NBC's hit summer talent competition series 'America's Got Talent' last night. Tony-nominee Will Swenson led the cast in a diva-tastic medley of some of Priscilla's most popular songs - 'Finally,' 'Shake Your Groove Thing,' and 'MacArthur Park' - featuring the show's trademark 2011 Tony-winning costumes designed by Oscar and Tony-winning designers Tim Chappel and Lizzy Gardiner.

Following hit productions in Australia, London and Toronto, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL opened to critical acclaim on March 20 at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway). In the video below, the cast of Priscilla (led by John Brannoch) perform their homage to Glee in their own unique way.
