The Gershwins' PORGY AND BESS officially opened on Thursday, January 12th, 2012 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. The cast led by four-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald (Ragtime, 'Private Practice') as Bess, Drama Desk nominee Norm Lewis (Les Misérables, Sondheim on Sondheim) as Porgy and two-time Tony nominee David Alan Grier (Race, 'In Living Color') as Sporting Life. Today, McDonald and Lewis appeared on The View to promote the show and BroadwayWorld brings you their performance of 'Bess, You Is My Woman Now' below!

TV First Look: LYSISTRATA JONES on Broadway!

Lysistrata Jones began preview performances Saturday, November 12th at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W 48th Street) and will officially open on December 14, 2011. Written by Tony nominee Douglas Carter Beane and Lewis Flinn, Lysistrata Jones is directed and choreographed by Tony nominee Dan Knechtges. STAGE TUBE: Harry Connick, Jr. Talks ON A CLEAR DAY on TODAY SHOW

Grammy and Emmy Award winner, Tony Award nominee and multi-platinum recording artist Harry Connick, Jr. will star as Dr. Mark Bruckner in the newly imagined production of ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER opening December 11, 2011 on Broadway at The St. James Theatre, 246 W. 44th Street. Previews began on November 12, 2011. The roles of David Gamble and Melinda Wells will be played, respectively, by David Turner and Jessie Mueller, in her Broadway debut. The delightful Tony-nominated score by Burton Lane (music) and Alan Jay Lerner (lyrics) is enhanced by classics from their film scores for On A Clear Day You Can See Forever (1970) and Royal Wedding (1951). With a new book by Peter Parnell based on the original book by Alan Jay Lerner, the musical is reconceived and directed by Tony Award-winner Michael Mayer, with choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter. Darren Criss, breakout star of Fox's Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning smash hit television show 'GLEE', will make his Broadway debut as J. Pierrepont Finch in HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, performing a strictly limited three week engagement from January 3, through January 22, 2012. He will replace Daniel Radcliffe, who will play his final performance on Sunday, January 1, 2012. The 40th Anniversary production and first-ever Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's landmark rock musical GODSPELL is now in preview performances at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre. Directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli (South Pacific), the show will open on Monday, November 7. A special benefit performance of HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING on Thursday, October 6th raised $15,000 for THE TREVOR PROJECT. The performance featured a post-show talkback with star Daniel Radcliffe. A portion of every ticket sold for the October 6 performance was donated to THE TREVOR PROJECT, as well as all proceeds from a post-show auction featuring autographed HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING merchandise.

PIX11 host Tamsen Fadal went backstage at the Palace Theatre to visit Tony Award nominee Tony Sheldon, took a tour of Priscilla's Tony Award winning costumes, spoke with star Will Swenson in the middle of Times Square and went behind the hit music of the show with 'Divas' Anastacia McCleskey and Ashley Spencer.
