Earlier this week, MCC Theater celebrated the official opening of the New York premiere of the musical Alice By Heart with book by Steven Sater with Jessie Nelson, music by Duncan Sheik, lyrics by Steven Sater and directed by Jessie Nelson.

The North American premiere of Timothy Sheader's explosive Olivier Award-winning production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar opens at Lyric tonight, April 27, with performances through May 20 (press opening April 28). Peter and the Starcatcher, the five-time TonyAward-winning play, will begin performances on Monday, March 18, 2013 at New World Stages. The cast includes returning Broadway cast members Rick Holmes, now playing Black Stache, Jason Ralph, now playing Boy, along with Kevin Del Aguila as Smee, Matt D'Amico as Slank, and Evan Harrington as Alf, all reprising their roles. They are joined by Nicole Lowrance (Molly), Edward Baker-Duly(Lord Aster), Josh Grisetti (Fighting Prawn), Alex Hernandez (Captain Scott), Nate Miller (Ted), Andrew Mueller (Prentiss), Jon Patrick Walker (Mrs. Bumbrake),Jordan Geiger, Joanna Howard, and Graham Stevens.
