Strictly Come Dancing 2018 winner Kevin Clifton will be swapping the ballroom for the bourbon club this Spring when the award-winning Rock of Ages powers into Coventry.

Rock of Ages is an LA love story lavished with over 25 classic rock anthems. Lose yourself in a city and a time where the dreams are as big as the hair, and yes, they can come true! This hilarious musical comedy will have you singing and laughing along with its epic songs played loud and proud by an awesome live band.

Having wowed audiences and critics alike in last year's festive production, Darlington Hippodrome have announced that Darlington's own diva Zoe Birkett will be back by popular demand to star in this year's wish-filled pantomime Aladdin alongside actor Robin Askwith, Louie Spence, Eric Potts and Liam Mellor from Today 8 December.

Three stars of the festive, family pantomime made a brief visit to Darlington Hippodrome for the official press launch of Aladdin which runs from Today 8 December to Sunday 6 January.

As the famous song from the musical Rent assures us, there are 525,600 minutes in a year and Darlington Hippodrome has filled each and every one of those minutes in the last year amassing several large numbers of its own since the venue re-opened after an 18 month restoration project.

Beginning later this month, an array of stars from the world of Stage, Screen and Entertainment will light up thirty-five theatres across the nation for this year's Qdos Entertainment pantomime season celebrating the very best of British traditions for the festive season.

Danielle Hope, best-known for having won BBC One's Over the Rainbow, will be joined by Kevin Kennedy who played the role of Curly Watts in Coronation Street for over 25 years and Darlington's own West End diva Zoe Birkett when the UK tour of Rock of Ages stops off in Darlington next week.

Kevin Clifton and Antony Costa will join the cast of the award-winning smash-hit musical "ROCK OF AGES" in the role of 'Stacee Jaxx'.

Danielle is perhaps best-known for having won BBC One's Over the Rainbow, which lead to her professional debut in the lead role of Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of The Wizard Of Oz at the London Palladium. Since then, Danielle has starred as Eponine in the West End production of Les Miserables, as Maria in the UK tour of The Sound Of Music, and recently finished touring the UK as Sandy in Grease.

Written by Sam Cassidy, directed by Arlene Phillips, Myth: The Rise and Fall of Orpheus runs until Saturday in concert-style workshop performances at The Other Palace. The production is semi-staged and performed by a live 6-piece rock band.

Diana Vickers has joined the cast of rock musical Myth: The Rise and Fall of Orpheus to play the female lead character, Eurydice.
