The antics of the Wicksteed home are a darkly satirical merry-go-round in Alan Bennett's Habeas Corpus. Family, friends and the quest for sexual pleasures of the body (“corpus”) are the ruling passions in this farcical comedy of ill-manners. Through an escapade of mistaken identities and carnal encounters, one motto holds fast: “He whose lust lasts, lasts longest.”

The White Bear Theatre in Kennington will present GAY GENERATIONS, an exciting double bill of brand new one act plays by Michael McManus (writer of Maggie & Ted) and Charlie Ross MacKenzie (stand-up comedian, author and broadcaster) from 24th - 28th August.
It's 1935 and celebrated Belgian detective extraordinaire, Artemis Arinae, is enjoying a cruise along the Nile – when tragedy strikes again. All passengers and staff are suspects, and the body count is growing - will Arinae's little grey cells identify the murderer in time?!
David will retrace his steps as a young actor, visiting more than 20 theatres across the UK before a final performance at the Stockton Globe on 19 December.
The season includes Well Made @ The Playground – a mini-season of new theatre, opera, and contemporary dance from developing artists – and Ida Rubinstein: The Final Act, a play with music and dance that chronicles the untold story of dance’s Forgotten Diva.
Naomi Peterson joins the company in the role of Miss Stapleton and others, joining the previously announced Richard Ede (Sherlock Holmes), Marc Pickering (Stapleton and others), Eric Stroud (Doctor Watson), Naomi Peterson (Miss Stapleton and others), Phil Yarrow (Sir Henry and others).
The London run will then tour to Theatre Royal Winchester, MAST Mayflower Studios in Southampton and Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford.

Groan Ups will open at Theatre Royal Bath on 12 August 2021 before touring to Salford, Chester, Sheffield, Oxford, Guildford, Edinburgh, Cheltenham, Cardiff, Cambridge, Glasgow, Dartford, Wolverhampton, Norwich, Brighton, Nottingham, Southampton, Aylesbury and Coventry until 5 March 2022. Highlights of this year's Free Fringe include Surrey Fringe Chorus (3 July), Colour with Guildford in Bloom (4 July) and Guildford's Rock Choir (11 July) which all take place in the town centre.
