Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is holding a Global Gala, hosted by Helen Mirren!

Continuing its series of impromptu livestreamed concerts in the wake of COVID-19, the University of Chicago Presents will welcome Anthony McGill, Chicago native and principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic, with pianist Anna Polonsky in a digital performance of music for clarinet and piano streamed from the Howland Cultural Center.

Festival Music Director Alasdair Neale and Executive Director Derek Dean today announced that the Summer Season of the 36th annual Sun Valley Music Festival will be performed and presented via the Internet, with new programming reimagined for the online experience.

The Kansas City Symphony's 2020/21 season is an impressive lineup with popular classical masterworks, exceptional guest artists and favorite films featuring live scores. The 2020/21 season marks a decade of performances in Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and Music Director Michael Stern's 16th season.

This spring, Carnegie Hall's season-long Beethoven celebration continues with a vibrant series of events featuring the complete Beethoven symphony cycle with Yannick Nézet-Séguin and The Philadelphia Orchestra, the complete piano sonatas by nine leading artists, and the complete string quartets by Quatuor Ebène, as well as workshops, lectures, and more. Beyond Carnegie Hall, public programming and events, including music, dance, exhibitions, and lectures at prestigious partner organizations across New York City highlight the many dimensions of the great music master. Together, the Beethoven celebration features more than 70 programs, creating an extraordinary view of this revolutionary composer.

Joining in the global celebration of Beethoven250 is internationally renowned pianist Yefim Bronfman. This thrilling recital features Beethoven's a?oetrilogy of contrastsa?? a?" three sonatas grouped as Op.10 and the tempestuous Appassionata, one of the composer's greatest and most technically demanding piano sonatas.

The Philharmonia announces its 2020/21 Season at Southbank Centre, which will be Esa-Pekka Salonen's 13th and last as Principal Conductor & Artistic Advisor of the Orchestra. The highlight of Salonen's final season is a focus on music inspired by Greek myth. In Origin Stories: Greek Myth in Music, Salonen conducts Scriabin's Prometheus: The Poem of Fire with Yuja Wang as soloist (24 Sep 2020) and Strauss' Elektra with soprano soloists Irene Theorin and Lise Davidsen (7 Feb 2021). And to close the Season (10 Jun 2021), Salonen conducts Ravel's Daphnis and Chloe (complete) alongside the European premiere of his own work Gemini.

After a tremendous performance with the InterHarmony Festival Orchestra last year, pianist SALEEM ASHKAR will enter the chamber music scene during the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Session II in Italy and Session III in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Bavaria, Germany. He will join Guy Braunstein (violin) and Misha Quint (cello) for Brahms and Shostakovich trios on July 23 in Acqui Terme, Piedmont, Italy. He will perform in an evening of Brahms Trios with Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider (violin) and Misha Quint (cello) on August 6. Ashkar will give a Piano Master Class in both sessions as a part Outstanding Masterclass Series at each festival. www.interharmony.com
