MUSE/IQUE’s next show of their 2024 season is The Judas of Folk – Dylan Plugs In,tracing the progression of folk music from its traditional roots to its role as the music of movements and protests; to Dylan’s bold swing, and beyond. 

Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum has transformed its uniquely beautiful outdoor amphitheater into the imaginary isle of Neverland for a magical production of Wendy’s Peter Pan. Theatricum artistic director Ellen Geer directs her “retelling” of the 1904 play by J.M. Barrie, with performances running June 22 through October 4. 

After a successful U.S. run of shows together in February and March, Dropkick Murphys is hitting the road again with punk legends Pennywise and hotly-tipped Dublin rock band The Scratch for a fall North American tour. The trek launches September 24 in New York City and wraps October 27 in Amherst, Massachusetts.

The South Carolina New Play Festival has announced the 3rd annual festival. It will take place over four days, starting on Thursday, August 8, and will feature a wide range of musicals, plays, town halls, an outdoor variety stage, and will culminate in a Cabaret featuring Tony-nominee Phillip Boykin (Hadestown) on August 11.

Out now via Fluff & Gravy Records (Loose Music in the UK/EU), the 11-track set has received Best of the Year nods from NPR Music, Bandcamp Daily, Stereogum, Paste Magazine, UNCUT, MOJO, Folk Alley, and more, as well as a 2024 UK Americana Music Award nomination for International Album of the Year.  

Musically grounded in his John Mellencamp Indiana days, the album features Dane Clark on drums (Mellencamp), John Ginty on keys (Sheryl Crow, Allman Betts Band), Mike Grosser on bass (Grace Potter), Johnny Stachela with slide guitar on 'Thick Of It' and 'Killing Floor' (Duane Betts, Allman Betts Band) and Duane Betts featured guitar on 'Fate.'

The siblings have spent the best of three decades creating their own mix of folk, rock, soul, and country music. They call that diverse sound 'forosoco,' it's taken them worldwide, from headlining gigs in Japan to American performances at iconic venues like Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry, and Gruene Hall.

Dropkick Murphys have announced the full itinerary for their 2024 U.S. St. Patrick's Day Tour. All dates will feature punk legends Pennywise as special guests, with hotly-tipped Dublin rock band The Scratch opening the shows through March 15. Openers for the March 16 and March 17 shows at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston will be announced soon.
