DirectorsLabChicago (DLC) Artistic Director and co-founder Elizabeth Margolius has announced her decision to no longer lead the Chicago-based artist service organization, effective immediately. She and the board have chosen DLC staffer and long-time local theater director Wm. Bullion as her replacement. Margolius will remain a part of the Lab's steering committee and Board of Directors for at least a year, lending her support and expertise as the group restructures for the future.

Strawdog Extends Final Show at Hugen Hall

Strawdog Theatre Company, Artistic Director Hank Boland and Hugen Hall Artistic Director Anderson Lawfer are proud to announce the third production in their 2015 - 2016 Hugen Hall season, Elizabeth Lovelady's world premiere adaptation of Rudolph Mate'sfilm D.O.A., March 5 - April 5, directed by Elizabeth Lovelady at Hugen Hall in Strawdog Theatre Company, 3829 N. Broadway Street has extended through April 10. The performance schedule is Saturdays at 4 p.m., Sundays at 12 p.m., and Monday and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. Additional performances are Saturday, April 9 at 4 and 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 10 at 12 and 4 p.m. Single tickets are $15 and are currently on sale. Akvavit Theatre Kicks Off 2014 Nordic Spirit Festival Today

Akvavit Theatre, now in its fourth year producing theatrical works that explore the Nordic experience, will be bringing its Nordic Spirit festival of staged readings to The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee, for 2014. Featuring contemporary work from all five Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland), the festival will begin today, December 12 and continue through Sunday, December 14.
