Single Tickets For Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY Go On Sale 10/12

The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) is pleased to announce that Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY will go on sale on Friday, October 12 at 10A. Tickets will be available at the PPAC Box Office, online at www.ppacri.org and by phone at (401) 421-ARTS (2787). Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY will play at the Providence Performing Arts Center, February 5 - 10, 2019. Ticket prices start at $41; all ticket prices include a $3 per ticket restoration charge and are subject to change without notice.

The Arvada Center Opens EDUCATING RITA, Today

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will open the 2018 - 2019 Black Box season with Educating Rita, directed by Lynne Collins, today, October 5, 2018. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with matinees on Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m., through November 11. The arrival of Creedence Clearwater Revival's 50th anniversary brings an unprecedented celebration of everything the band contributed in their short but startlingly epochal time together (1968 - 1972). To commemorate this milestone, Craft Recordings is releasing a deluxe box set comprising the band's complete seven-album studio output: Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bayou Country, Green River, Willy and the Poor Boys, Cosmo's Factory, Pendulum and Mardi Gras.

The chocolate factory is coming to a city near you! Full dates and cities have been announced for the upcoming North American tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The tour will launch at Shea's Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, NY, before bringing Wonka's world of pure imagination to previously announced engagements in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto and more. Fascinating Aida's Adele Anderson is confirmed to join Mark Williams, who plays Doctor Dolittle, in the UK & Ireland Tour of Doctor Dolittle. Adele will play Lady Bellowes/Poison Arrow at the first six venues of the tour - Bromley, Salford, Oxford, Wolverhampton, Newcastle and Hull. There will be a national press night on Thursday 17 January 2019 at the Oxford New Theatre.

Theater audiences in Middle Tennessee are treated to a delicious murder mystery from the doyenne of British whodunits as Arts Center of Cannon County unveils its latest production - Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None - in a sumptuous new mounting from director Cyndie Verbeten. Opening tonight and continuing through October 13, the story focuses on a group of people brought together on a remote island where there is danger and intrigue afoot.

John Fogerty To Celebrate 50th Anniversary of His Music

 50 years ago, in 1968, the nation was at a crisis point.  War, assassinations, political strife; millions of voices were yearning to be heard, to be understood.  A year later, 1969, at least on the creative-artistic front, one voice came forward to carry a message, lyrics in song that reached out to those millions. That voice, those lyrics, were JOHN FOGERTY. His natural talent to capture emotion in words, coupled with being the lead singer and guitarist for Creedence Clearwater Revival at the time, gave us three amazing albums in one year!

Artisan Children's Theater proudly presents ROALD DAHL'S WILLY WONKA JR. at its 148 seat Second Stage facility. The theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst. The show runs Friday, October 5, 2018 through Saturday, November 3, 2018.
