Classic Stage Company has announced its 2020-21 season. Bookending the season will be Doyle's new staging of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, in fall 2020, and the long-awaited New York premiere of Ten Cents a Dance, with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Lorzenz Hart, in spring 2021. In between, CSC presents the third annual edition of its winter repertory series, this time pairing landmark 1970s prison dramas: the Tony Award-winning, Apartheid-era play The Island and Kiss of the Spider Woman, which inspired the Tony Award-winning musical and Academy Award-winning film of the same name.

Artistic Director Marc Masterson and Managing Director James McNeel announced today a reimagined structure for its artistic department. The changes take advantage of recent vacancies to align its staffing model with the focus areas of its new strategic plan. The moves include the promotion of Clare Drobot to the role of Associate Artistic Director and Katie Trupiano as Education Director. THE GREEN ROOM 42 - the new intimate concert venue dubbed Broadway's 'off-night hotspot' by The New York Times - has announced that Broadway's Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Rent, Falsettos) will extend her acclaimed solo residency 'Unplugged & Unplanned' for three more shows due to popular demand. Originally scheduled to run through Friday, February 28, performances have been added on Friday, March 6 at 9:30 PM; Sunday, March 15 at 7:00 PM; and Sunday, March 22 at 9:30 PM. Inspired by the energy of the new decade, Espinosa is shaking things up to try something she's never done before: a laid-back evening of intimate dialogue, taking requests, special guests, spontaneous moments and off-the-cuff stories. Featuring selections from both of her albums, Broadway hits, pop covers, songs she's never sung before and more, 'Unplugged & Unplanned' delivers a different experience at every performance.

The Bennington Museum will begin its 2020 'Music at the Museum' concert series on Saturday February 29 at 2:00 pm with a performance by the noted string ensemble Quartet 131. The concert will take place at the Ada Paresky Education Center and Paul Paresky Court of the Bennington Museum, 75 Main Street (Route 9), Bennington, Vermont. Reservations are not required for this performance, and the venue is accessible to those with disabilities. The concert is free and open to the public thanks to the support of Alison Nowak and Robert Cane.

The Theatre Company presents its inaugural production, The Moors by Jen Silverman, March 18-April 11. Founded with the intention of transforming found spaces with bold, theatrical endeavors, The Theatre Company has chosen Copeland Commons at Taborspace in the heart of SE Portland's Mt. Tabor neighborhood as their non-traditional performance venue. While Copeland Commons has hosted small scale concerts and other arts events in the past, TTC's production of The Moors marks the first time a professional theatre company has staged a multi-week residency in the space. Co-Artistic Directors Jen Rowe and Brandon Woolley chose the venue specifically for its connection to the community and the story being told.
