The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI - Lehigh Valley) will sponsor a post-performance talkback at Civic Theatre on May 9, to explore the range of mental health issues raised by the Pulitzer-winning musical "Next to Normal." The post-show talk back is free. Tickets to 'Next to Normal' range from $20-31.

Civic's Artistic Director William Sanders directs this "brave, breathtaking" (The New York Times) rock musical written by Brian Yorkey and lyrics by Tom Kitt. Featuring an electrifying pop-rock score of more than 30 songs, "Next to Normal" is an intense, tender, human scale musical that aims straight for the heart.

The 'It Gets Better' project was launched to encourage and support GLBT youth, a reminder that all kinds of people from all kinds of places are united in an effort to raise awareness for tolerance and rights for all. Filming will be done on a first come, first serve basis. No sign-ups required. Everyone will get a maximum of 3 minutes on camera. For questions please call 610.432.8943.
