Civic Theatre of Allentown will present a free reading of Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize winning play, TALLEY'S FOLLY, Saturday, February 26 at 2 pm on the stage at Civic's 19th Street Theatre, 527 N. 19th Street in Allentown. TALLEY'S FOLLY is the second in Lanford Wilson's acclaimed trilogy that includes FIFTH OF JULY.  FIFTH is currently enjoying a full production at Civic Theatre. The production of FIFTH opens on Thursday, February 24 and runs through March 5.

Written in 1979, TALLEY'S FOLLY is the second in his cycle, THE TALLEY TRILOGY and falls in between his plays TALLEY & SON and FIFTH OF JULY. Set in an old boathouse near rural Lebanon, Missouri in 1944, it is a romantic comedy following the characters Matt Friedman and Sally Talley as they once and for all settle their feelings for each other. Wilson received the 1980 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for the work. The play is unique for Wilson in that it takes place in one act, with no intermission, set in ninety-seven minutes of real time.

Civic Theatre's Artistic Director, William Sanders will direct the reading, which will feature Tom Onushco as Matt Friedman and Gretchen Furst as Sally Talley.

Admission to the reading is free. Civic's production of FIFTH OF JULY continues through March 5. Tickets are still available for all performances. For information or tickets visit www.civictheatre.com or call the Civic Theatre Box Office at 610-432-8943.
