Tennessee Rep Celebrates 25th Anniversary With Nashville Scenes

Tennessee Repertory Theatre will partner with The Acorn restaurant and Nashville Scene for a special event to celebrate its 25th Anniversary. The evening-titled 'Nashville Scenes'-- will feature staged readings of scenes from Tennessee Rep's 2009-2010 season and hot hors d'oeuvres and will be held Wednesday, July 29 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at The Acorn (114 28th Avenue North).

MMT Announces Their Great, Big, Surprising 10th Anniversary Season 2009-2010

The Minneapolis Musical Theatre (MMT) celebrates a major milestone as it announces the lineup for its 10th full season of productions. Dubbed its 'Great, Big, Surprising 10th Anniversary Season', MMT has put together a slate of 2009-2010 productions that are sure to delight audiences of all ages.

Most recently Swindley has premiered three new musicals, STEP INTO MY PARLOR (Tulsa, OK), SUMMER OF '66 (Myrtle Beach, SC), and SWINGSTEP (Toronto, Canada). SWINGSTEP was nominated for the Best Musical award in Canada, (comparable to the Tony awards in America.) Swindley also directed THE HONKY TONK ANGELS and STEP INTO MY PARLOR at the Picolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC.

Full cast and creative team has been announced for William Hauptman's Domino Courts, to be presented at the WorkShop Theater Mainstage March 20-29. The production, directed by Michael Mislove, will open officially on March 20.

Vogt and Burns are Bway Hairspray's New Edna & Wilbur

The producers of Hairspray, winner of eight 2003 Tony Awards including Best Musical, have announced that Paul Vogt and Jere Burns take over the roles of Edna and Wilbur Turnblad on Tuesday, January 30, at Broadway's Neil Simon Theatre.
