Tennessee Repertory Theatre will celebrate its 25th season of live, critically acclaimed theatre by welcoming a mix of familiar favorites and new faces.

"Nashville is fortunate to have a vibrant theatre community, with really wonderful actors who live here," says Tennessee Rep Producing Artistic Director René D. Copeland. "When casting, I always feel an embarrassment of riches when I see the choices before me. I know Nashville appreciates that and enjoys the quality of performers who appear on our stage. I think when out-of-town theatre goers attend our shows, they are often amazed by the level of quality our theatre artists achieve-maybe just a bit surprised! A business associate from New York City was in town during Glengarry GLen Ross last winter and he could not get over the brilliance of the cast. I assured him that that's the way we roll here in Nashville. The down side of having so much talent here is, it makes my casting decisions very difficult! However, ultimately the choices must be made, and I know our patrons will have another exciting year in the theatre with this terrific group of actors. The casts for 2009-2010 season pay tribute to Tennessee Rep's 25 years, both by bringing back familiar faces and welcoming new ones."
