Aussie singer Mia Dyson will release Idllywild, the follow up to her critically acclaimed 2013 album The Moment, on June 3, 2014. The 11-track album, which will be supported with a Pledge Music campaign, was recorded in Ojai, CA at Brotheryn Studios. Idyllwild was produced by Pat Cupples and Erin 'Syd' Sidney (The Co-op), who also worked on The Moment. To kick off the release, Mia partnered with Billboard in March to premiere her first single, 'When We're Older.' When asked about the track, Mia said 'The song is looking down the road to being really old and how the world will perceive me at that point. The world seems to ignore people as they get older, but it doesn't have to be a dark, sad thing. There could be a freedom waiting for us and I want to embrace the freedom that comes with getting older, celebrating the idea of growing older wih the person I love, hoping our love lasts that long. Seeing the true beauty of the world and each other.'
The PledgeMusic experience doesn't end with an artist reaching targeted fundraising goals. The meaningful sharing, the connections, and the support facilitated through the platform transcend the campaigns.
I have to admit, at first I thought I was being lied to when I was told that Stephen King and John Mellencamp collaborated on a musical. I mean, I love the musical CARRIE, but I've never thought of Stephen King writing as fodder for musicals. Needless to say, my curiosity was piqued. I simply couldn't hide my excitement about getting the opportunity to listen to the concept album-like soundtrack for GHOST BROTHERS OF DARKLAND COUNTY, a musical with a Book by Stephen King, Music and Lyrics by John Mellencamp, and Musical Direction by T Bone Burnett. With one listen, it was more than apparent that the bluesy, folk-rock music on the disc expertly captures Americana in a sinister and foreboding way.

Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, a musical written by novelist Stephen King with original music written by rock musician John Mellencamp, will get a new lease on life, it seems. The musical was set to premiere at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia from April 15 through May 10, 2009, but script development issues suspended the premiere. Nashville Gab and thatnashvillesound.com are now reporting that the musical will now debut at the Alliance in September 2010, with A book and CD recording of the songs published prior to its opening.
