The shows stars, Martin Vidnovic and Alison Woods, recently caught a performance of the world's longest-running musical THE FANTASTICKS at the Snapple Theater Center. Both have strong ties to the show as Martin starred as Bellomy in this current revival and he played El Gallo in the original Sullivan Street Playhouse production in the 1970s. And Alison was selected by director Jason Alexander to play the leading role of Luisa in his all-star production of THE FANTASTICKS at Reprise with Eric McCormack and Lucas Grabeel. It is my humble opinion that the musical is better than the movie - it's a little bit sassier and totally hilarious. In particular, I find the character of Fiona to be especially likeable.
