After a limited run in early June at The Art House, Producing Artistic Director Mark Cortale has announced that new musical "Snail Road" will extend to play every Monday from June 27th through August 1st. Written by and starring Zoë Lewis, "Snail Road" is an original one act musical that had its world premiere run at The Art House June 2nd - 12th, garnering rave reviews and sold out shows. This Provincetown tale of bicycles, dreams and true love is directed by Donna Drake, produced with Counter Productions, and also features Andre "Afrodite" Shoals, Mark Meehan, Whitney Winfield and Joe MacDougall.

Zoë Lewis is a Provincetown resident originally from the UK who plays jazz, jump jive, latin grooves, swing, international folk, and funk originals on anything from the piano to the spoons. She recently completed the score to Jeffery Roberson's new feature film Varla Jean & The Mushroomheads. She is the winner of the Colorado Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Troubadour Award in 2003, the 2002 New Folk Winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas, and the 2001 Falconridge Folk Festival Audience Favorite. In "Snail Road," Zoë is joined musically by virtuoso jazz recorder player Roxanne Layton (from Mannheim Steamroller).

Donna Drake, director, was in the original Broadway casts of A Chorus Line, Sophisticated Ladies, Woman of the Year, The Wind in the Willows, 5678-Dance, It's so nice to be Civilized and the original production of The 1940s Radio Hour. She has received an Emmy nomination for Dear Alex and Annie, 4 Drama Desk Nominations, A Mac Award Nomination and a Theatre World Award. Donna choreographed Catherine Zeta Jones for the American Film Institute Awards, and directed John Tartaglia's Imaginocean which is currently running Off Broadway at New World Stages.

Originally from England, Zoë Lewis now resides in Provincetown on Cape Cod, MA, where she performs every summer. Her music is upbeat, amusing and perfect for young and old alike. She's traveled all over the globe picking up worldbeat grooves and stories on the way; jumping box cars, riding on freight boats and has even played music with an elephant orchestra in Thailand. She's a mixture of swing, acoustic funk, latin jazz and folk. Her fast-paced lyrics poke fun at modern society and praise the rambling delights of childhood, secret worlds, and wandering love. Producing Artistic Director Mark Cortale was quoted this week in Provincetown saying, "I'm thrilled to have had the opportunity to develop this new show with Zoë, our amazing director Donna Drake, and my fearless co-producer Susan Grilli."
