SNAIL ROAD Extends For Art House for Women's Week

The Art House's Producing Artistic Director Mark Cortale will extend the summer hit musical Snail Roadfor Women's Week at the venue this October 7th through 15th. Also joining the special week of programming are comedian and LOGO TV star Jennie McNulty, Shelly Mars' hilarious Bulldyke Chronicles, all-girl pop-rock band Betty, music and comedy duo Zoë Lewis & Lisa Koch, and raucous "drag king" contest Drag-In hosted by Jennie McNulty and Mimi Gonzales. Snail Road, written by and starring Zoë Lewis, is an original one act musical that had its world premiere run at The Art House this past summer, garnering rave reviews and sold out shows. This Provincetown tale of bicycles, dreams and true love is directed by Donna Drake, produced with Susan Grilli's Counter Productions, and also features Mark Meehan, Whitney Winfield, Thay Floyd, Joe MacDougall, Sharon Topper and Roxanne Layton. Zoë Lewis is a Provincetown resident originally from the UK who plays jazz, jump jive, latin grooves, swing, international folk, and funk originals on anything from the piano to the spoons. She recently completed the score to the film Varla Jean & The Mushroomheads, and is a past winner of the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Troubadour Award, and the New Folk Winner at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival. Donna Drake, was in the original Broadway casts of A Chorus Line, Sophisticated Ladies, Woman of the Year, The Wind in the Willows, 5678-Dance, It's so nIce To be Civilized and the original production of The 1940s Radio Hour. She has received an Emmy nomination for Dear Alex and Annie, 4 Drama Desk Nominations and a Theatre World Award.written by and starring Zoë Lewis
