The Art House's Producing Artistic Director Mark Cortale will extend the summer hit musical Snail Roadfor Women's Week at the venue this October 7th through 15th. Also joining the special week of programming are comedian and LOGO TV star Jennie McNulty, Shelly Mars' hilarious Bulldyke Chronicles, all-girl pop-rock band Betty, music and comedy duo Zoë Lewis & Lisa Koch, and raucous "drag king" contest Drag-In hosted by Jennie McNulty and Mimi Gonzales. For tickets to the October 7th through 15th shows, please visit www.ptownarthouse.com or call 508-487-9222 for information.

Snail Road, written by and starring Zoë Lewis, is an original one act musical that had its world premiere run at The Art House this past summer, garnering rave reviews and sold out shows. This Provincetown tale of bicycles, dreams and true love is directed by Donna Drake, produced with Susan Grilli's Counter Productions, and also features Mark Meehan, Whitney Winfield, Thay Floyd, Joe MacDougall, Sharon Topper and Roxanne Layton. Zoë Lewis is a Provincetown resident originally from the UK who plays jazz, jump jive, latin grooves, swing, international folk, and funk originals on anything from the piano to the spoons. She recently completed the score to the film Varla Jean & The Mushroomheads, and is a past winner of the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Troubadour Award, and the New Folk Winner at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival. Donna Drake, was in the original Broadway casts of A Chorus Line, Sophisticated Ladies, Woman of the Year, The Wind in the Willows, 5678-Dance, It's so nIce To be Civilized and the original production of The 1940s Radio Hour. She has received an Emmy nomination for Dear Alex and Annie, 4 Drama Desk Nominations and a Theatre World Award.

Jennie McNulty was recently rated a Top 10 Lesbian comic by Curve magazine, and "one of the premiere comedians in the country" by the New England Blade. She can currently be seen on MTV Networks' LOGO channel in two of her own One Night Stand Up comedy specials. She was also featured in the hit NBC show Starting Over, and is the host of her own bi-weekly talk show Jennie McNulty Presents: Walking Funny With on the premier lesbian website, AfterEllen.com. Jennie will also be joined on a separate bill with Mimi Gonzales as the two host the Drag-In drag king contest combining amateur contestants along side celebrity pro performers.

Drag King Shelly Mars brings her edgy, hilarious variety show Bulldyke Chronicles to P-town after a NYC Fringe Festival sold-out run. Joining her is Molly Equality Dykeman, and several very special surprise guests.

Betty is the all-female New York pop-rock band led by Alyson Palmer and sisters Elizabeth and Amy Ziff. Known for their defiant attitude, tight harmonies, infectious melodies, and evocative lyrics layered over strong grooves, this world-touring group's songs have been heard extensively on radio, TV, film, commercials and political rallies.

Rounding out the special week of programming is the rare pairing of local favorite, worldbeat-vaudevillian Zoë Lewis and Lisa Koch, the Seattle icon famed for her deliciously twisted mix of comedy, theater and demented songs. This is a dynamic duo not to be missed, among a week of cutting-edge performers on deck for Provincetown's annual Women's Week celebration at The Art House!
