Voyage Theater Company announced today it will present the world premiere production of DON’T LOOK BACK, a new play written by Adam Kraar and directed by VTC’s Founding Artistic Director, Wayne Maugans.

 The Episcopal Actors' Guild (EAG) is happy to welcome to the Guild Hall stage a one-night-only, benefit reading of American Lives: Two One-Act Plays by Mervyn Rothstein (former chief theater reporter and theater editor at The New York Times, former columnist for Playbill Magazine, former member of the Tony Awards Nominating Committee.) This evening of theatre will be directed by Tyrone Henderson (founder Quick Silver Theater Company).

Voyage Theater Company is pleased to present the world premiere of THE HOPE HYPOTHESIS, a wickedly humorous take on the rabbit hole that is America's immigration system. Written and directed by Cat Miller, the play explores the current climate of suspicion and fear a?" and what it means to us as individuals and as a society. Opening on Tuesday, October 29th, THE HOPE HYPOTHESIS runs from October 25th through November 15th at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street). Premiere Stages at Kean University is currently staging the world premiere of 'The Wake' by Tammy Ryan through July 28. This finely crafted family drama is laced with just the right amount of humor. Directed by the theatre's Producing Artistic Director, John J. Wooten, the cast features four outstanding thespians.

Premiere Stages at Kean University will present Tammy Ryan's The Wake July 11-28 in Kean University's Bauer Boucher Theatre Center (Vaughn Eames Hall, 1000 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J.). Recently selected from 659 submissions as the winner of the 2019 Premiere Play Festival, The Wake will feature actors James Gushue, Wayne Maugans, Kathy McCafferty and Kelley Rae O'Donnell. John J. Wooten, producing artistic director of Premiere Stages, directs.

Voyage Theater Company/PARTS UNKNOWN Play Reading Series will present a staged reading of Sphinx by British playwright Neil Fleming, directed by Wayne Maugans, at the 53rd Street New York Public Library (18 W 53 Street, across the street from MOMA), Thur February 21 at 7pm. Admission is FREE and open to the public, but reservations are highly encouraged. Please RSVP here. The performance will run approximately 95 minutes with no intermission.

Quick Silver Theater Company's (QSTC) third annual Citizen One Reading Series launches Friday November 16th.  QSTC will present staged readings of four emerging playwrights of color as part of their series.

On Friday, March 16 The League of Professional Theatre Women (Kelli Lynn Harrison & Lisa Rothe, Co-Presidents) presented the 2018 Theatre Women Awards at The TimesCenter, hosted by Florencia Lozano. The League of Professional Theatre Women's annual Theatre Women Awards are the only awards dedicated to honoring the theatrical work of women and their contributions to the field, across all disciplines. Actress Phylicia Rashadwas the recipient of the LPTW's prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award; playwright Rohina Malik received the Lee Reynolds Award; director Emily Joy Weiner the Josephine Abady Award; Colt Coeur artistic director Adrienne Campbell-Holt the LPTW Lucille Lortel Award; drama critic Linda Winer received the LPTW Special Award; and sound designer Cricket S. Myers the Ruth Morley Award.
