Encores! Artistic Director Jack Viertel today announced casting for the Encores! production of Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the Tony Award-winning musical based on Mark Twain's classic American novel.

Adirondack Theatre Festival's (ATF) 22nd summer season continues with its CABARET SERIES featuring the return of THE UNCIVIL WAR in a special concert performance. This special event will feature an updated script and score, with changes made based on reactions of ATF audiences from last summer's performance, complete with multiple new songs and scenes. Performances will be held at the Charles R. Wood Theater (207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls) on the mainstage at 7:30pm. Tickets are $26-$32 and are available at the Wood Theater Box Office, online at ATFestival.org, or by calling (518) 480-4878. Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents UNCIVIL In Concert. The original folk rock/Bluegrass-infused musical comedy, previously know as Bayonets of Angst, returns to NYC after an acclaimed sellout run at the 2015 Adirondack Theatre Festival. Originally presented by the New York Musical Theatre Festival under Executive Director & Producer, Dan Markley, UNCIVIL won rave reviews for its 2014 NYMF run and received four Excellence Awards including Best Book, Best Ensemble Performance, and Outstanding Individual Performance for Brian Charles Rooney and J. Robert Spencer.

MCC THEATER announced today the extension-by popular demand-of its hit comedy, Matthew Lopez's The Legend of Georgia McBride, now playing at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street).  The play, which officially opened on September 9th, will now play through October 11th.  It was previously scheduled through October 4th.  For more information on MCC Theater, please visit www.mcctheater.org.
