Due to audience demand, Florida Studio Theatre (FST) announces the extension of Outlaws and Angels, celebrating the “outlaws” of country music and the “angels” who loved them.

Raise a glass and get ready to take one last ride to The Ranch. With Iron River Ranch now in a competitor's hands and more trouble on the horizon, Colt, Beau and the rest of the Bennetts must band together as they face an uncertain future. The series stars Ashton Kutcher, Elisha Cuthbert and Sam Elliott. Created by Don Reo and Jim Patterson, The Ranch was the first comedy series produced by Netflix. Executive produced by Reo, Patterson, Kutcher, Jeff Lowell, Max Searle and Matt Ross. Part 8 consists of 10 episodes.

The Justin Kemp Band released their new country single 'Legends Never Die' on December 20, 2019. This original classic country song is a clever tribute to Country Music legends whose song titles compose most of the lyrics. Each line has been skillfully gleaned from many classic country hit songs from legends such as George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Don Williams, Conway Twitty, Buck Owens & Hank Williams Sr.  Their songs continue to inspire Country Music fans, and Justin hopes that this 'new' single will in fact showcase how relevant they are today and will keep country music alive for generations to come. 

Legendary music impresario and manager Jim Halsey is celebrating more than 70 years in the entertainment industry. A pioneer of COUNTRY MUSIC innovation and expansion, the 89 year old Independence, Kansas native was honored in his hometown with the 2,000 seat auditorium inside Memorial Hall being renamed to the Jim Halsey Auditorium. Now 89, Halsey has booked hundreds of acts and performances at the venue since 1949.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced complete casting today for the world premiere of the new play COAL COUNTRY, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen with original music by Steve Earle. Directed by Jessica Blank, this riveting new work will begin performances in the Anspacher Theater with a Joseph Papp Free Preview performance on Tuesday, February 18. COAL COUNTRY will run through Sunday, March 29, with an official press opening on Tuesday, March 3.

To commemorate the final season of The Ranch, Netflix has partnered with Curb Records for the release of The Ranch (A Netflix Original Series Official Soundtrack). 

The Country Music Association will honor Conway Entertainment Group/Ontourage Management founder/owner Tony Conway with its 2019 CMA Touring Lifetime Achievement Award. Conway received the news during last week's CMA Board of Directors meeting in Nashville, where he received a standing ovation from Board members and CMA staff.  

The McCallum Theatre presents The Highwaymen a?" A Musical Tribute featuring Waylon, Willie and Johnny on Sunday, November 24, at 3:00 pm. Perhaps the greatest super-group in country music history, the original Highwaymen, formed in 1985 and consisted of Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. This recreation of that amazing band continues the legacy with tributes to Waylon, Willie and Johnny. You will see the friendship and comradery that existed between these legends, reliving great moments in country music history. Combining their unique approaches to life and recording, they traveled the world performing country music to millions of fans.

Award winning cabaret singer Lucille Carr-Kaffashan recently did a run of shows at Don't Tell Mama in which she looked at the works of some of rock and roll's great male singer songwriters.

Rex Allen - America's Last Singing Cowboy is the latest release by Country Rewind Records and the first in a new series, referred to as the Western Heritage Series which will also feature The Son's of the Pioneers and Tex Ritter. Rex Allen was a multimedia star before the term 'multimedia' was coined. He found fame as a singer, a song- writer, a Western movie star, a television actor and (in later life) as a narrator of Disney movies and TV shows. Does everyone love Buddy Holly? The Brits certainly do. Alan Janes' BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY opened on the West End in London in 1989 and ran for eight years the first time, toured the United Kingdom over 25 years, and was revived for a year on the West End in 2007, so there's been massive love for the show there for three decades. It's been here, too, as BUDDY opened on Broadway in 1990 and has kept going around America since then as well.

Eight classic rock tribute shows will perform at The Grove Theatre in September, including tributes to the Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac and a Madonna vs. the Go Gos showdown.

He will be performing with THE STRANGERS, best known as Merle Haggard's renowned back-up band with original co-founding member Norman Hamlet, as well as Haggard's children Dana and Ben.

Tanya Tucker has added a second appearance in Nashville, with a performance slated for August 23 at the venerable Grand Ole Opry as part of her run of select dates this fall celebrating the release of her new album, While I'm Livin' (out the same day,August 23 via Fantasy Records).

Conway Twitty, best known for his smooth voice voice and hit song “Hello Darlin” has a new single heading to radio via CDX. 

Jeannie C. Riley, best known for her worldwide mega hit, “Harper Valley P.T.A.” has a new single heading to radio todayvia CDX. The song is her soulful and very personal version of “Me and Bobby McGee,” written by Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster that became a posthumous No. 1 hit in 1971 for the late Janis Joplin.
