La MaMa, the newly-minted recipient of the 2018 Regional Theatre Tony Award, now in its 57th season, will be featured on this week's THEATER TALK, as producer/co-host Susan Haskins-Doloff pays a visit to the La MaMa Archive.

The Orchard Project, a nationally renowned performance laboratory, today announced the six original, independent pilots selected to participate in its first annual Episodic Lab. More than 430 artists applied to the inaugural year of the Episodic Lab, which will help writers develop television and episodic content, working with accomplished showrunners and producers as mentors. The pioneer artists include playwrights, cartoonist, and screenwriters — and they are working on a diverse set of pilots, focusing on everything from the world of rap to the world of celebrity cruises. Written by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage and directed by Obie Award winner Jo Bonney, MLIMA'S TALE continues The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR. MLIMA'S TALE will now run two additional weeks through Sunday, June 3.

The Orchard Project, a nationally renowned theater development laboratory, today announced the roster of leading TV industry professionals who will advise writers selected to participate in the first ever Orchard Project Episodic Lab. Advisors will help create this new world-class program and provide advice and mentorship to participants as they elevate the level of their TV pilots.

On this episode, playwright David Rabe, producer/director Scott Elliott, Ed Harris and Amy Madigan discuss The New Group production of David Rabe's new work 'Good for Otto.' The play, in which Harris and Madigan play psychologists, is set in a community mental health center, and is now playing at the Pershing Square Signature Center. Today, The 24 Hour Plays, in partnership with The New School for Drama, announced that the annual application for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will open on Monday, March 19, and will remain open until Sunday, April 15. Callbacks will take place in both New York City (May 1-3) and Los Angeles (May 4, including a special industry panel). Once again, the Nationals will take place in August in New York City.
