Cabaret Convention Returning to Town Hall

It's an undeniable, outstanding, and extraordinary musical milestone, to be sure: 2015 marks the thirtieth anniversary of The Mabel Mercer Foundation! Not only has the organization survived the ongoing and vastly fluctuating public tastes in music, lyrics, and performers, it has proliferated and burgeoned in its three decades of commitment to the classic, "Great Popular Songbook" -- both past and present.

Postponed from last January when the fake blizzard closed New York City, Broadway Unplugged, the critically acclaimed annual concert returns! It's the show where today's stars sing great show tunes the way they used to be performed on Broadway: without a microphone! It's the pure human voice soaring to the rafters, showing an awestruck audience, once again, that they've got the same chops as the great stars of yesteryear. New York's critics have said every year that this is one of the most thrilling concerts they have ever witnessed. Broadway Unplugged always get sensational stars -- and this year is no exception. The 81st Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony and Luncheon was held at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in the Broadway Ballroom (1535 Broadway) on Friday, May 15, 2015 where our winners were announced. The ceremony was hosted by Hand To God star, Steven Boyer and Tyrone. Awards were presented by Zachary Quinto and Neil Patrick Harris. Norm Lewis & Danny Holgate to be Honored at Amas Musical Theatre's 46th Anniversary Gala Tonight

Some of the best musical experiences have taken place in houses of worship. Sadly, Holy Cross Church in Times Square was the location of such an occurrence on Saturday as a Requiem Mass for Jean-Claude Baker who committed suicide on January 15th 2015 was held at the historic church. The Romanesque Revival style building was constructed in 1870 and is the oldest building on 42nd Street. BroadwayWorld brings you photos of the performances below!
