The National Black Theatre Festival will host 'An Evening with Vivian Reed' from August 5 through August 8, in Winston-Salem, N.C., at the Gaines Ballroom of the Embassy Suites Hotel, 10:30 P.M.

The two-time Tony Award nominee and multi-award-winning singer/actress will take the stage with an eclectic lineup of R&B, jazz and musical theatre songs, and a tribute to the people who have had a profound effect on her career. It is the show that packed New York City's supper club 54Below and brought audiences to their feet on various occasions last year.

After seeing one of those performances, Stephen Hanks of Broadway World wrote: "...Reed entered the room exuding such star power that my soul was set on fire and it would remain aflame for the next 75 minutes...I had just seen one of the most exhilarating cabaret/nightclub shows so far this year."

Last month, Ms Reed gave the audience at the star-studded 2015 Theatre World Awards celebration here a taste of her show with "a resplendent and rousing rendition of 'Blues in the Night,' packed with enough sheer ferocity and high-wattage vocals to power an entire block of theaters," wrote Broadway World's Pat Cerasaro.

"[T]he elegant and astonishingly attractive Vivian Reed absolutely blew the roof off of the theater," he said.
