Sony Pictures Consumer Products, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment, announced today the studio's first ever faith-based holiday program in support of THE STAR, a new animated film from Sony Pictures Animation & Affirm Films coming to theaters November 17.

In anticipation of the worldwide release of Sony Pictures Animation's animated motion picture THE STAR, in theaters November 17, 2017,Epic Records and Sony Pictures Animation will release The Star: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack in stores and online October 27, 2017.

The Riant Theatre's 30th Annual Strawberry One-Act Festival has announced 2017 summer one-act play competition awards. The winners were chosen by the Riant Theatre's Artistic Director, Van Dirk Fisher and a jury of industry judges.

The Riant Theatre (Van Dirk Fisher, Artistic Director) -- the Audelco Award-winning nonprofit providing a nurturing developmental environment for playwrights and theatre creators of diverse cultural backgrounds -- proudly announces THE STRAWBERRY ONE-ACT FESTIVAL 2017 - THE SERIES.  The reality competition series' first eight episodes, featuring the 31 short plays that were staged during the festival's 30th Season (presented Off-Broadway at the Theatre at St. Clement's July 13th - July 30th, 2017) are now available for viewing online. One of the truly legendary musicals in the history of Broadway, Merrily We Roll Along opened to enormous fanfare in 1981, and closed after sixteen performances. For the first time, Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened  draws back the curtain on the extraordinary drama of the show's creation - and tells the stories of the hopeful young performers whose lives were transformed by it. Directed by Lonny Price, a member of the original cast, the film is a bittersweet meditation on the choices we all make, and the often unexpected consequences of those choices -- through success and failure. Featuring exclusive appearances by Stephen Sondheim, Hal Prince, Jason Alexander, Mandy Patinkin, Adam Guettel, Frank Rich and the original Broadway cast of Merrily We Roll Along.  Below, Richard Ridge chats with Price about his journey with the musical, the creation of the documentary, and so much more!
