As part of its strategic expansion to year-round original programming, TNT is set to burn brightly this winter with a slate of six original series. The lineup includes the return of three hit dramas, a new season of one of the most acclaimed series on television and the premiere of a brand new medical drama from David E. Kelley and Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

Minneapolis-based private investment firm EBF & Associates and Kevin Frakes' PalmStar Media Capital announced today the formation of Merced Media Partners, a strategic partnership that is targeting investments in approximately 15 films per year.

Production is now under way for TNT's Monday Mornings, a powerful new series from award-winning producer David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, Chicago Hope) and practicing neurosurgeon and CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, on whose book the series is based. The medical drama stars Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction), Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2, TNT's The Company), Jamie Bamber (Battlestar Galactica), Jennifer Finnigan (Better with You), Bill Irwin (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), Keong Sim (Glee), Sarayu Rao (Lions for Lambs) and Emily Swallow (TNT's Southland). TNT has ordered 10 episodes for the first season of Monday Mornings, which is slated to premiere in early 2013.

An announcement has been posted on the official CBS Twitter that Ving Rhames will play a guest role on the upcoming third season of HAWAII FIVE-O. The post reads: 'H50 CASTING NEWS! Ving Rhames is going toe-to-toe with Danno (Scott Caan) this fall & it's going to get bloody...'
