Grove Theater Center (GTC) presents a staged reading of Rachel Ray, playwright Henry Ong's stage adaptation of Anthony Trollope's 19th century novel, tonight, May 22 at 7:30pm, as part of its New Play Initiative. GTC Artistic Director, Kevin Cochran, will direct the reading at the theater, located at 1111-b West Olive Avenue, Burbank, CA91506. There will be a post discussion with the playwright following the reading. Admission is free, but reservations are encouraged and can be made at (818) 528-6622.

The third play in MALIBU PLAYHOUSE's 2013-2014 season will be The Vortex by Noel Coward, opening Friday, April 11, 2014. The play will be directed by Artistic Director Gene Franklin Smith and stars Shannon Holt and Craig Robert Young. Shows are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 3 PM. Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center's production of the world premiere of The Sonneteer, the new play by award-winning playwright Nick Salamone, has been extended by popular demand. After garnering outstanding reviews from the Los Angeles Times, the LA Weekly, and many others, The Sonneteer will play at the Center's Davidson/Valentini Theatre through April 3 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m.
