Celebration Theatre to Stage Reading of ATTACK OF THE SECOND BANANAS, 9/15

CELEBRATION THEATRE presents as part of its New Works Reading Series... Gina Torrecilla's ATTACK OF THE SECOND BANANAS!!! Two beloved stage performers on the verge of TV stardom drop dead during their final performance. Friendship can be such a killer.

The cast of Attack Of The Second Bananas will feature: Cindy Sciacca, Nell Teare, Gregory Guy Gordon, Trevor Olsen, June Carryl, and Victoria Hoffman.

The show, directed by Ryan Bergmann, will run Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at The West Hollywood City Chambers, 625 N. San Vicente, West Hollywood (free parking for entire night after attending reading). Admission is free... with donations gratefully accepted.

GINA TORRECILLA (Playwright) Gina is an actor and writer living in Los Angeles. She has a B.A. in Theatre from UNLV and an M.F.A. in Drama with emphasis in Musical Theatre from SDSU. She is also a Second City Chicago Conservatory graduate where she honed her sketch writing. As an actor she has been seen on stage and screen for over 20 years. Her writing credits include the short film ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL , the screenplay THE AMERICAN SISTERS, the one act stage plays THE BASEMENT and PARKS, the television pilot USED and many sketches for Second City as well as other troupes.

RYAN BERGMANN (Director) Recent Directing Highlights: Niagara Falls (Theatre of NOTE), Bronies: The Musical (LA Fringe, Best Musical), revolver (Celebration Theatre), The Real Housekeepers of Studio City (LA Fringe); Recent AD Highlights: Psyche (The Greenway Theater), Wolves (Celebration Theatre), Justin Love (Celebration Theatre, LADCC Award, Best Production; World Premiere), A Little Midsummer Night's Dream (Los Angeles Rock Opera Company), The Color Purple (Celebration Theatre; Ovation Award, Best Musical in an Intimate Theatre along with five other Ovation Awards). Recent Producing Highlights: The Next Fairy Tale (Celebration Theatre), BASH'd: A Gay Rap Opera (Celebration Theatre), A Little Midsummer Night's Dream (Los Angeles Rock Opera Company), Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera (Los Angeles Rock Opera Company); Ryan is always excited to work with Celebration Theatre. It is such an honor to be working on an exciting new work from the gifted mind of Gina Torrecilla.
