Young Musicians And Female Conductor Make Debuts At Miller

Conductor Jessica Cottis brings her talents to Houston for her debut performance on Friday, June 29, at Miller Outdoor Theatre. Cottis joins the orchestra at 8:30 p.m. for the British-American program Gershwin's Concerto in F, as part of the ExxonMobil Summer Symphony Nights.

American Symphony Orchestra Announces 2018-19 Season

The American Symphony Orchestra today announced the 57th season of its Vanguard series at Carnegie Hall, running from October 17, 2018 through March 22, 2019. The 2018-19 season will focus on rediscovering works of the 20th century, illuminating masterpieces from the not so distant past and bringing rarely-heard composers to a wider audience. Music director Leon Botstein will conduct all concerts in the series.

Noted American conductor Jason Tramm and the Long Island Concert Orchestra will launch the 59th Season of the Morgan Park Summer Music Festival on Sunday July 1st in Glen Cove, New York. LV Philharmonic 2017-18 Season Performances To Air On Nevada Public Radio

The Las Vegas Philharmonic has partnered with  Nevada Public Radio for the third year to broadcast performances from its just concluded 2017-18 season on Classical 89.7 FM Sundays at 2pm, starting July 1. Each broadcast will be 90 minutes to two hours in length and will include conversation with Music Director, Donato Cabrera and Nevada Public Radio's Dave Becker as well as full length performances by your symphony orchestra.

The month of June at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) is a long tribute to Peter Oundjian, who completes his tenure as Music Director of the TSO at the end of the 2017/18 season. Cleveland Orchestra Announces Lisa Wong As Director Of Choruses

Today, The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Most have announced that Lisa Wong has been named Director of Choruses for The Cleveland Orchestra, effective immediately. The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus is one of the few professionally trained, all-volunteer choruses sponsored by a major American orchestra. Its members hail from nearly fifty Cleveland-area communities and together contribute more than 15,000 volunteer hours to the Orchestra's music-making each year.
