With a picnic hosted by the Board of Trustees, the Contemporary American Theater Festival at Shepherd University welcomes 2019 company members. Attended by CATF partners, donors, and community members, this annual event is the first time CATF's 2019 company comes to celebrate the six new plays they are about to create. These artists, from around the country, including cities such as New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, gather in historic Shepherdstown to create the future of American theater.

Über 10.000 begeisterte Besucherinnen und Besucher feierten am gestrigen Sonntag, 26. Mai 2019 den 150. Geburtstag des Hauses am Ring beim „Jubilaumskonzert vor der Oper". Gemeinsam mit Ensemblesangerinnen und -sangern, internationalen Gastsolistinnen und -solisten, dem Orchester und dem Chor der Wiener Staatsoper unter der musikalischen Leitung von Marco Armiliato wurde der Herbert von Karajan-Platz/Opernring bei freiem Zugang bespielt - als Überraschung fur das Publikum wurden einige Programmpunkte von der Terrasse der Wiener Staatsoper und von Balkonen des Hotel Bristol gegeben.

Il teatro Cometa Off va pian piano riempendosi con l'avvicinarsi delle 18:00. La sala e piccola, ma i posti sono quasi tutti occupati. Ci sono parenti e amici degli attori, ma anche curiosi e appassionati del genere che hanno scelto di passare un sabato pomeriggio diverso.
Sul palco infatti stanno per esibirsi gli allievi dell'AMTA, l'American Musical Theatre Academy, portando in scena una versione piu moderna di GODSPELL, musical del 1971 composto da Stephen Schwartz e dal libretto di John-Michael Tebelak.

Maria Friedman and Anita Dobson join the company of Trevor Nunn's critically acclaimed production of Fiddler on the Roof, which is currently running at the reconfigured Playhouse Theatre until 28 September. Friedman plays Golde, and Dobson plays Yente from 18 June, taking over from Judy Kuhn and Louise Gold respectively. Inaugural Rogue Lab Reading Series Showcases Seven New Plays by LA Playwrights

Award-winning artists' collective Rogue Artists Ensemble is thrilled to announce the Inaugural Rogue Lab Readings Series, a four-day event that includes readings of seven new works written, directed, and designed by emerging LA artists, as well as post-show discussions and receptions. The reading series will feature new plays by 2018-2019 Rogue Lab playwrights Lisa Sanaye Dring, Eric Fagundes, John Guerra, Mildred Inez Lewis, Chelsea Sutton, and Jennie Webb, and a special new play presentation by writing team Taylor Coffman and Z. Lupetin.
