Restaurant Row's beloved piano bar, Don't Tell Mama, continues its October Broadway "Boozy" Brunch special guest line up this Sunday, October 9th, by welcoming Amorika Amoroso to the stage!! Amorika graduated from Temple University, and began her career in Philadelphia as a backup singer with the pop-band The Tenth House before becoming the lead singer/writer for eTribe, an original hip-hop/rap band that toured colleges/venues along the East Coast. Amorika trained with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in NYC, wrote and performed for the Phila-based sketch comedy troupe, Hazmat and performed her one-woman show It Just Doesn't Matter in the 1812 Productions cabaret series, Perfectly Marvelous. She has also appeared in national commercials, off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway productions. Amorika recently won Mama's Next Big Act, where she be debuted her show The Whore Next Door.
Every Friday evening at 8PM, THE ORIGINAL CAST, a team of professionally trained actor-improvisers, will create an entirely new hour long drama in the style of a famed playwright. For the month of October, they present an original improvised play in the style of American playwright Arthur Miller. Each hour long production is inspired by the suggestion of a title and setting from the audience.
