Don't Tell Mama Announces October Guest Stars for BROADWAY 'BOOZY' BRUNCH

Restaurant Row's beloved piano bar, Don't Tell Mama, has announced the first Broadway "Boozy" Brunch's special guest lineup for October!

Guests includes Mama's Next Big Act winners: Amorika Amoroso and Joshua Lance Dixon; one one-man show, Billy Lykken; blonde powerhouse, Krissy Ross; and the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC) president himself, Lennie Watts.

Broadway "Boozy" Brunch is a new addition to Don't Tell Mama's and has become a Sunday hot spot for booze, food and entertainment! This boozy brunch includes a 3 course meal and coffee or tea for a grand total of $35 dollars a person, and for $14.95, you can add unlimited mimosas, Bellinis and Bloody Marys! All of this, while you enjoy a 90 min full Broadway Cabaret Show featuring Michelle Dowdy (Hairspray), Paul Pilcz (Bye Bye Birdie), Elora Von Rosch and Lauren Turner, with music direction by Patrick DeGennaro.

MEET THE GUESTS:

AMORIKA AMOROSO graduated from Temple University, and began her career in Philadelphia as a backup singer with the pop-band The Tenth House before becoming the lead singer/writer for eTribe, an original hip-hop/rap band that toured colleges/venues along the East Coast. Amorika trained with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in NYC, wrote and performed for the Phila-based sketch comedy troupe, Hazmat and performed her one-woman show It Just Doesn't Matter in the 1812 Productions cabaret series, Perfectly Marvelous. She has also appeared in national commercials, off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway productions. Amorika recently won Mama's Next Big Act, where she will be debuting her show The Whore Next Door.

JOSHUA LANCE DIXON received his training from Circle In The Square Theatre School and Washburn University. Joshua performed in many cabaret and concert performances around New York City. He is the recent winner of Mama's Next Big Act 2016! Joshua is currently working on a new show, opening at Don't Tell Mama's in January or February of 2017! His cabaret debut, Fly Up! won the 2015 Bistro Award, 2015 Broadway World Award for Best Debut and was included in the 2015 TheatreScene.net cabaret honors. Favorite theatre credits include: Terry in Side Show, Robert in Company, Tony in Master Class, Curly in Oklahoma!, Valentine in Arcadia, Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, Cornelius in Hello, Dolly, and A Year With Frog and Toad.

BILLY LYKKEN recently debuted his one-man show Sacred Monster at Don't Tell Mama to sold out audiences. Sacred Monster is a hyperemotional journey of song, eyelash, and bazazz filtered through the soul of an often heartbroken, but never bitter, sequined songstress whose eccentricities and self-destructive behavior are overshadowed by an all-consuming need to please the faithful masses. Sacred Monster returns to Don't Tell Mama on Saturday, October 15th &18th.

Lennie Watts is a 12-time MAC, 5-time Backstage Bistro, 3-time Nightlife, and a 2014 BroadwayWorld.com Award Winner. He is the only person to receive awards as an outstanding vocalist, director, producer, and booking manager. He has been active in the New York cabaret scene for over 25 years. In addition to directing in small cabaret venues, he has directed events at Symphony Space, Town Hall, and BB King Blues Club. He has toured nationally and internationally with productions of The Music Man (Marcellus) and The Wizard of Oz (Lion). He has performed at Town Hall in several concerts, including Broadway Unplugged and Broadway By The Year, 1949, and can be heard on the cast recordings of both shows. As a theater director, he has directed productions of How To Succeed In Business..., Godspell, Dames at Sea, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Phantom. Watts is the creator of "cablab", "Summer In The City", and "The Arrangement Experience and Boot Camp", all critically acclaimed professional cabaret performance workshops. He created and produced the award winning "Under The Covers" series. The Village Voice calls him "A one-man cabaret army!" He is the 2013 MAC Award Winner for Outstanding Major Artist for his critically acclaimed show, Bloody Bloody Lennie Watts. Lennie was recently named One of the 50 Most Influential People in Cabaret, and is currently the President of MAC.

KRISSY ROSS is a singer/songwriter from Long Island, NY. Krissy began her career as international model, then transitioned into studying classical opera and the great American songbook. Throughout her years of performing, her passion is to bring the glamour days of entertainment to the stage and screen of today.
