Cover songs can say a lot about an artist: They're an indicator of a band's influences and personal tastes; they can introduce to an overlooked artist to listeners; and they can showcase an underserved gem or honor a classic in a new way.

It seems only fitting that Os Mutantes kick off the second leg of this headlining tour in a city that has given the band good reason to return. Os Mutantes and Capsula will kick off the fall run at Le Poisson Rouge on Friday, November 8th and will stay out on the road until Thanksgiving week.

Not many-or, really, any-underground rock acts originating from Buenos Aires come readily to mind, but that's not the only reason that Capsula is a distinctive band.

For this album, Capsula teamed up with renowned producer, Tony Visconti(David Bowie, Iggy Pop), to expand on their established lo-fi, garage rock sound.

Solar Secrets is the band's first official worldwide release and it was recorded under the direction of Visconti at Lexington's Saint Claire Recording Studio in the heart of Kentucky and is set for an August 27th street date via Krian Music Group.

Tonight, December 4, 7PM-11PM, the inaugural "Halos and Heartbeats" at The Cutting Room, a holiday spectacular concert & fashion benefit show, will feature headline performances by legendary music icon Emmylou Harris and acclaimed Nashville singer-songwriter Steve Earle.
