Britain's first lady of musical theatre Elaine Paige is downunder this winter, with three more concerts coming up in Australia. Below, watch as she stops by Studio 10 to chat about creating some of theatres most iconic roles, and reflects on being back in Sydney!

Presaged by the recently released 'Gun To The Head” and its title track (featured in The New York Times' Playlist)—as well as the band's first live appearance in seven years on Later…. With Jools Holland—Merrie Land, the sophomore album from The Good, The Bad & The Queen is finally released today, November 16, 2018.

Gothic vocals shrouded by synthesized atmospherics greet you upon entering the world of Xymox. While their album Twist of Shadows isn't exactly industrial in its sound, the bpm's run mid-tempo and sound totally danceable in a New Order-ish way. This expanded remastered double vinyl release includes the club hits 'Obsession' and 'Blind Hearts,' along with several rare 12' mixes and B-sides. A couple of the tracks have string arrangements by famed producer Tony Visconti, who was responsible for several of David Bowie's landmark releases. The two LPs are housed in a gatefold jacket complete with lyrics, and the artwork was designed by Vaughan Oliver of 4AD fame. Originally released in 1989, this is the most accessible Xymox album, selling over 300,000 copies, and their first on a major label. The 2-CD remaster also contains 10 bonus tracks in all with some very rare 12' mixes and B-sides which have never been available on CD. 

At last night's Reeperbahn Festival New York Edition at A2IM Indie Week presented by SoundExchange, the 2018 jury for the ANCHOR Award—the award that Reeperbahn Festival launched in 2016 to identify the most promising emerging musical talent—was detailed. It had previously been made public that KCRW's Chris Douridas and Jason Bentley, David Bowie's longtime producer Tony Visconti, and 2017 ANCHOR winner Jade Bird will be on this year's jury (just as 2016 winner Albin Lee Meldau was on 2017's jury); last night, producer/4 Non Blondes frontwoman Linda Perry and Morcheeba frontwoman Skye Edwards were announced as jury additions. Consequence of Sound broke the news on-site.

Probably the closest experience to a BOWIE gig you can get! Holy Holy are Bowie's drummer and Spider Man from Mars - Woody Woodmansey and producer Tony Visconti, who worked on many of Bowie's albums and played Bass on the Man Who Sold The World. Accompanied by an all star band that includes glorious Bowie-esque vocals from Heaven 17's Glenn Gregory, a Bowie fan and friend who also performed alongside Bowie on the original Band Aid single in 1984.

Kicking off May 2, at the opening of Coney Island Baby in New York City, the show will be the first of five nights with his band during the month of May.

This week, The Damned are currently occupying the number seven position in the Official UK Album Charts with their new album 'Evil Spirits', released last week via Search and Destroy/Spinefarm Records. It's a big achievement for the punk rock born British legends, who, despite huge success in the seventies and eighties, never quite made the top ten, narrowly missing the chance in 1985 when 'Phantasmagoria' peaked at number 11.

Daphne Guinness' “Riot,” the new single from her forthcoming album Daphne & The Golden Chord, debuts today. The full-length is set for release April 20 on Agent Anonyme/Absolute and will be available on CD and vinyl formats June 15.

Howard Stern and SiriusXM announced today The Howard Stern Tribute to David Bowie, a special honoring the legendary musician. The radio event will premiere on Friday, February 9, exclusively on Stern's SiriusXM channel Howard 101.
