Black Theatre Coalition Announces Davon Williams as Communications Director

Concluding BTC’s Building New Pathways gala event on March 27, Co-founders T. Oliver Reid, Warren Adams, and Reginald 'Reggie' Van Lee, joined by Board members Aaliytha Stevens and Naila McKenzie, along with Executive Director Olivia Jones and Program Director Nik Whitcomb announced today the addition of Davon Williams as Communications Director.

André De Shields Announces HADESTOWN Departure Date

Hadestown has released the news that André De Shields, Broadway's original Hermes, is set to depart from the award winning production on May 29th. His replacement has not yet been announced.

HADESTOWN National Tour is Coming to Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre

The Los Angeles engagement of “Hadestown” is coming to the Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre April 26 through May 29, 2022. The winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards® including Best New Musical and the 2020 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Theater Album will open April 27, 2022.

Lana Gordon to Take Over the Role of Persephone in HADESTOWN on Broadway

Lana Gordon will play the role of Persephone in Hadestown, the winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, starting Tuesday, February 22 at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre. Gordon previously starred on Broadway as Velma Kelly in Chicago and was an original cast member in The Lion King and is currently the Persephone alternate for Amber Gray, who originated the role, and as previously announced will play her final performance in Hadestown on Saturday evening, February 19.
