Playing now through September 8, Broadway San Jose's Wicked is a dazzling, deeply satisfying bucket list musical for Broadway aficionados of every age.

What's the most swankified place in town Nov. 20 through Dec. 1, 2019? That would be the Times-Union Center because the national tour of Wicked is back in the sunshine state!

Well before that founding father refused to throw away his shot, even before those Mormons made us giggle with their irreverence, the hot ticket in town was "Wicked". Well, Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman's witches have returned to the Emerald City and the bloom is still quite firmly attached to that bright pink rose in Glinda's hair.

In one sense, WICKED is the epitome of a Broadway blockbuster, possessed of all the elements that generate roaring and adoring crowds such as those welcoming the 15-year-old phenom, directed by Joe Mantello, to a month-long run at ASU Gammage's stage. The Broadway sensation WICKED will welcome new cast members to the National Tour beginning performances Tuesday, February 26 at the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City.

Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) today announced the cast for its season finale, Ragtime, directed by CCCT Artistic Director Marilyn Langbehn, with music direction by Tania Johnson and choreography by Allison Paraiso. Ragtime, with a Tony award-winning book and score by Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, plays CCCT's Main Stage beginning June 15 through July 22. Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) continues its 58th season with the family comedy Over the River and Through the Woods from November 17-December 10.
