For this pilot, the program will utilize a curriculum developed by the CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) to engage up to 25 mid-level professionals in a five-week professional development course. The goal is to support cultural workers from diverse backgrounds as they seek to grow into leadership positions across the city's vibrant cultural sector.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced today a revised admissions policy. Under the updated policy, which received approval from New York City's Department of Cultural Affairs, admission for residents of New York State and students from New Jersey and Connecticut will continue to be pay-as-you-wish, and visitors from outside New York State will be required to pay a mandatory admission fee. The Met projects that the updated policy will affect 31 percent of all Museum visitors.
Mayor de Blasio, Speaker Mark-Viverito, Cultural Affairs Commissioner Tom Finkelpearl, and City Council Majority Leader and Cultural Affairs Committee Chair Jimmy Van Bramer today announced more than $40 million in grants to support public programming at nearly 950 cultural organizations across all five boroughs, including support for priorities in the City's CreateNYC cultural plan. This represents the largest ever allotment for the Department of Cultural Affairs' Cultural Development Fund (CDF), which distributes funding for cultural programming to hundreds of nonprofit cultural groups every year.
