Pay tribute to the iconic film!

Who out there doesn't know THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW or, at least, the film musical version, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW? Well, as it turns out, at least six people the night I went… but I digress. THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW is the live stage version of what became the most successful flop in cinema history. A musical with music, lyrics and a book by Richard O'Brien, the show is a twisted tribute to the science fiction and horror B movies of the late 1940s on. The show tells the tale of Brad and Janet, a newly engaged couple who get caught in a storm and take refuge in the castle of a mad transvestite scientist, Dr. Frank-n-Furter, on the night of the unveiling of his new creation, a muscle man named Rocky Horror. The original London production premiered in 1973 and closed in 1980, running for a total of 2,960 performances and winning the 1973 Evening Standard Award for Best Musical.

The Actors Fund celebrated Broadway's Biggest Night at the 19th Annual Tony Awards Viewing Party on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Sponsored by Wells Fargo and hosted by Daytime Emmy Award winner and three-time Tony Award nominee Kate Burton, this year's gala raised $250,000 and honored Tony's Leading Men Theodore Bikel ("The Sound of Music," "Fiddler On The Roof"), Tim Curry ("The Rocky Horror Show"), Alfred Molina ("Love Is Strange") and Joe Morton ("Scandal") with the Fund's Artistic Achievement Awards. BWW TV's Los Angeles on-air host and producer Michael Sterling was on hand for the festivities.

On Monday night, June 15, Sir Ian McKellen will receive the Trevor Hero Award at The Trevor Project's TrevorLIVE New York event, presented by Wells Fargo and held at the Marriott Marquis, right in the heart of the theatre district.

It was a reunion 33 years in the making! At The Actors Fund's 19 Annual Tony Awards Viewing Party on Sunday night, Aileen Quinn reunited with her 1982 ANNIE co-star Tim Curry, who received The Actors Fund's Artistic Achievement Award. Most importantly, Yankee shares what the lucky attendees can expect from the viewing party in LA this weekend - the only official live feed in the world besides the East Coast airing - as well as highlights the starry honorees receiving special citations and the accomplished performers scheduled to appear at the hotly anticipated event.

According to Variety, Will Poulter has been tapped to play the evil clown 'Pennywise' in Cary Fukunaga's upcoming remake of Stephen King's classic horror novel IT. Fukunaga's and Chase Palmer wrote the film's script.

This week we are celebrating the news of a FOX small screen remake of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.

The new musical comedy Something Rotten!, directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell, officially opens on Broadway tonight, April 22, 2015 at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street). The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by AT&T, today announced the return of their signature free community events: the Tribeca Drive-In (April 16-18), Family Festival Street Fair (April 25), Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day (April 25), and Tribeca Family Screenings (April 19 and 25). This year's Festival will also feature the return of the Tribeca Kids Access reporter program.
