The Classical Theatre of Harlem presents the free, online stream of A Christmas Carol in Harlem, as recorded live last year, based on the timeless work by Charles Dickens. A Christmas Carol in Harlem is adapted by Shawn René Graham, directed by Carl Cofield and choreographed by Tiffany Rea-Fisher with music directed and composed by Kahlil X Daniel.

The Bessies to Present Town Hall and 2020 Virtual Event

The Bessies announced today that it will present a virtual event this year to honor the 2019-20 nominees. The 36th annual Bessies ceremony, to be held on Monday, December 14, will be a place for the dance and performance community to come together in solidarity, support, and celebration during these continuing challenging times.

Black Dance Stories announces its July 2020 lineup, featuring stories by and discussions with, well-known dancers and choreographers who use their art to create commentary on the Black experience. Created and conceived by performer, producer, and dance writer Charmaine Warren, the newly launched story sharing and discussion series highlights Black creatives in the dance world.
