Holiday traditions, seasonal spectacles and merry music superstars can all be found on the stages of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and The Parker this season.

HAIRSPRAY, Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical comedy phenomenon, officially launched its new non-Equity national tour last night, November 17, at the Civic Theatre in San Diego, CA. HAIRSPRAY will visit more than 60 cities in its first touring season and is expected to play for multiple seasons.

Long Island’s largest year-round professional theatrical venue, The Argyle Theatre is presenting Elf The Musical, the must-see holiday musical tradition. Elf will begin performances on November 12 and run through January 2, 2022, at The Argyle Theatre (34 West Main Street, Babylon, Long Island).

Broadway In Detroit has announced the return of HAIRSPRAY, Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical comedy phenomenon, to the Fisher Theatre, January 18-30, 2022.  Tickets start at $39 and will go on sale on Friday, November 19, 2021 online.

Adapted after the popular 2003 'Elf' the movie, 'Elf The Musical' is directed by Kenney Workman and features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin and Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin. Diane Trautman is music director and Bliss Soucek is choreographer.

The holiday season is approaching fast, and what better way to kick it off than with a hilarious family musical! Lakewood Theatre Company presents Elf - The Musical on the Headlee Mainstage at Lakewood Center for the Arts November 5 – December 19. This show marks the theatre's second mainstage show since re-emerging from the pandemic. 

Young Frankenstein is a musical with a book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, and music and lyrics by Brooks. It is based on the 1974 comedy film of the same name written by Brooks and Gene Wilder and directed by Brooks, who has described it as his best film. Television and comedy star John Thomson (Cold Feet, The Fast Show) will join the smash hit UK tour of Hairspray as Wilbur Turnblad this Christmas for three weeks at Blackpool Winter Gardens (13 December – 2 January).
