HAMILTON's West End Production Announces Official Ticket Sale Dates

As previously announced, HAMILTON, the critically acclaimed and multi-award winning Broadway musical will open at the end of 2017 at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London which is currently undergoing an extensive multi-million-pound refurbishment. The producers are delighted to be able to confirm that tickets for the London production of HAMILTON, will go on sale in January 2017. Previews commence in November 2017. Full details of prices, booking information and performance schedule will be announced in January 2017.

#EduHam is a series of HAMILTON Wednesday matinees made available to New York City schools with a high concentration of students from low-income families for the ticket price of only $10. This educational partnership, made possible through a $1.46 million grant by The Rockefeller Foundation, is not only providing 20,000 NYC public school students with the opportunity to see HAMILTON on Broadway, but provides educational material by Gilder Lehrman to incorporate material from the musical into the American History curriculum.

For the October 13th digital #Ham4Ham, members of the Hamilton cast in Chicago performed a cover of Phillip's verse in the musical's song 'Take a Break,' urging people to get out and register to vote. To the average audience member of THE COLOR PURPLE, the most important person waiting backstage is one of the above-the-title stars (Cynthia Erivo, Jennifer Holliday or Danielle Brooks). But those in the industry know that, at this particular moment, the most important person is a woman sitting stage right in front of three monitors. That woman, with a headset on and binder in front of her, is Stage Manager Sharika Niles. She is the one who will soon give the word to start the show. She is the one who tonight is in charge of 'calling the show.' She is the one who will dictate the show the audience sees by giving the word for a spotlight, sound effect, set movement, etc..

According to The Stage, the producers of Hamilton will be holding an open call in London to cast the roles for the musical's upcoming West End production. Singers who rap and dancers of all ethnicities in their 20s-30s are encouraged to attend, although at this time the producers are not auditioning actors to play the role of King George III.
