It has been announced that Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart will join the Broadway cast of Hamilton in the dual roles of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson starting April 14th, Broadway favorite, Brian D'Arcy James, is set to re-join the show on the same day in the role of King George, a role he created in the Public Theater production of the show.

Led by Artistic Director Ken Goodenberger, a long-time Theater Works musical director and performer, the 70-voice Chorale will perform a concert of outstanding American music, exploring the genres of Folk, Classical, Spiritual, Sacred and Broadway Music. Leonard Bernstein, George Cohen, Randall Thompson, Eric Whitacre and Moses Hogan are some of the featured iconic composers. The concert also includes a salute to America's Armed Forces in a grand patriotic medley!

James Monroe Iglehart, the iconic originator of The Genie in ALADDIN, recently stepped down from the role that earned him a Tony in 2014. The actor will soon be joining the Broadway cast of HAMILTON as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson. It seems, however, that Iglehart was feeling a little nostalgic as he announced on Twitter that he's on stage this weekend as Genie. Time to get some last minute tickets!

Twelve very talented students will be honored at THE THEATER PROJECT'S fifteenth annual Young Playwrights Competition Performance and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, March 18, at the Cranford Community Center. These young writers represent ten different high schools and eight different towns. The three prize winners will see their work performed by the professional actors of The Theater Project; honorable mentions will be to be presented with citations and gift certificates. The event is free and open to the public.

WaterTower Theatre Artistic Director Joanie Schultz today announced casting and creative team details for the Regional Premiere of Scott Carter's The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens, and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord, directed by Emily Scott Banks. Discord will run April 14-May 7, 2017, in the Canterbury Family Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre. The cast features Ian Ferguson as Thomas Jefferson, John-Michael Marrs as Charles Dickens, and Jeremy Schwartz as Count Leo Tolstoy.
