WHAT HAPPENED?: THE MICHAELS ABROAD, the world premiere play and the final in the Rhinebeck Panorama, written and directed by Tony Award winner Richard Nelson, will begin performances on Saturday, August 28 at Frederick Loewe Theater at Hunter College in a very intimate 74-seat configuration.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced reopening dates for Flying Over Sunset and Intimate Apparel!

Today Keen Company Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein announced new guests for upcoming evenings of the highly popular FREE event, Keen After Hours: Jonathan McCrory (February 22nd), Thomas Jay Ryan (March 1st) and Jennifer Ashley Tepper (March 8th). Keen After Hours is free and open to all. 

Today Keen Company Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein announced additional guests for the highly popular FREE event, Keen After Hours.  Coming up next: Chisa Hutchinson (January 25th), followed by Michael Urie (February 1st), among others, in coming weeks.

 Dianne McIntyre has replaced Camille A. Brown as the choreographer for Lincoln Center Theater's current production of Intimate Apparel. Brown excited the production early on in the process due to scheduling conflicts.

Lincoln Center Theater will present Intimate Apparel by Ricky Ian Gordon and Lynn Nottage with Bartlett Sher. Previews begin February 27th.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of André Bishop) has announced casting for its upcoming production of Intimate Apparel, a new opera with music by Ricky Ian Gordon and a libretto by Lynn Nottage, based on her play. The opera, which will be directed by Bartlett Sher, will begin previews Thursday, February 27 and open on Monday, March 23 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street).

The Old Globe will present a free, one-night-only event, Barry Edelstein In Conversation with Richard Nelson, Richard Pevear, and Larissa Volokhonsky, supported by the Fuson Family, on Wednesday, February 14 at 5:30 p.m. Continuing his very popular interview series, Edelstein sits down with translator/director Nelson-a great American playwright, at once a poet of the stage and an innovator of theatrical form-and Pevear and Volokhonsky-the world's foremost translators of Russian literature, and perhaps our most influential thinkers about the art of translation. They will discuss the collaborative process behind this Uncle Vanya, as well as the art of translation and bringing the classics of the stage to life for a contemporary audience.

The Old Globe's 2017 2018 Season continues with today's announcement of the complete cast and creative team for Anton Chekhov's masterpiece Uncle Vanya, which has received a Globe-commissioned world premiere translation from Richard Nelson, Richard Pevear, andLarissa Volokhonsky. Richard Nelson (Illyria, The Gabriel Plays, Tony Award winner for Best Book of a Musical for James Joyce's The Dead) also directs. Uncle Vanya will run February 10 March 11, 2018 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $30.00 and are on sale to the general public now. Previews run February 10 14. Opening night is Thursday, February 15 at 8:00 p.m.

The Pearl Theatre Company and Gingold Theatre Group is currently presenting Shaw's Major Barbara, running through December 14, 2014. When the charming weapons-manufacturer Andrew Undershaft goes toe-to-toe with his passionate daughter Barbara, a Major in the Salvation Army, over his 'ill-gotten' fortune, it leads to the wager of the century. She is determined to save his soul-he is determined to open her eyes to a wider world. Their confrontation will knock their entire family's moral compass up, down, and sideways, never to be the same again.

Richard Brinsley Sheridan's classic romantic romp, The Rivals, returns to The Pearl for the hilarious story of Lydia Languish who is... languishing. She can imagine nothing more romantic than eloping with the impoverished Captain Beverly. Little does she know that 'Beverly' is really Jack Absolute, a wealthy aristocrat who fears the truth of his identity isn't nearly romantic enough for Miss Languish's taste. How will he win her-from himself?

Transport Group, the Drama Desk and OBIE award-winning theatre company, has announced that the New York premiere of a new musical, The Memory Show, book and lyrics by Sara Cooper; music by Zach Redler; directed by Joe Calarco, will begin performances Tuesday, April 16, at 7pm at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project, at 229 West 42nd Street. The Memory Show features Catherine Cox and Leslie Kritzer. Opening night is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30 at 7pm.

Earlier this week, Transport Group presented GIMME A BREAK! an evening of performances honoring Christian Borle, Sue Frost, and Paul Huntley at it's benefit gala at the Asia Society and Museum, 725 Park Avenue. The GIMME A BREAK! performance featured Broadway stars sharing their 'big break' moments in story and song.
