Following the critically-acclaimed world premiere last week, the BBC’s ‘U.Me: The Musical’ is now available to listen to and watch via BBC Sounds. The BBC also revealed rich & vibrant animations to accompany the mega-musical’s explosive multi-genre score, which are available in addition to the BBC World Service radio broadcast across BBC platforms.

The BBC today announced that a special digital ‘U.Me: The Musical’ live pre-premiere event is set to take place on Wednesday, 12 May 2021. Listeners and viewers worldwide can join the warmth and joy of a night at the theatre at the musical’s live digital world premiere event, hosted by Olivier Award nominee, actress and director Maria Friedman.

The opening track from ‘U.Me: The Musical’ entitled Everything Stops has made its audio premiere today, Tuesday 20 April. The track performed by Anoushka Lucas will also make its debut on streaming platforms from Friday 23 April. West-End stars are also adding their own voices from lockdown and joining the cast as special guest backing vocalists.

The BBC today announced the cast for the global premiere of 'U.Me: The Musical' to be broadcast on 12 May 2021 at 8pm on BBC World Service. Stephen Fry will be the very special guest narrator along with two young lead actors Anoushka Lucas and Martin Sarreal and a wider cast including students from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA).

The Donmar Warehouse has announced that Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell will curate a series of intimate evenings of music and song performed in the iconic setting of the Donmar auditorium. Each cabaret evening will feature the best of musical theatre, with a programme of songs by Stephen Sondheim, Jason Robert Brown, Noël Coward and Lin-Manuel Miranda. From its early days as a rehearsal studio for the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, to the hugely successful Divas at the Donmar series in the early 2000s, the Donmar has presented outstanding musical talent over many years, and is delighted to continue this tradition with Donmar Lates.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie, the award-winning feel good musical sensation, has announced the following cast members joining the show from 6 January 2020: Hiba Elchikhe will be making her West End debut playing the role of Pritti Pasha, David O'Reilly will step into the role of Laika Virgin, Leon Craig will join the company as Sandra Bollock and Jordan Ricketts also makes his West End debut playing Dean. New cast members also include Zion Battles (Levi), Keenan Knight (Sayid), Ebony Clarke (Swing/Dance Captain), Joe Wolstenholme (Swing) and Brian James Leys (Understudy). They join the previously announced Noah Thomas who takes over the role of Jamie New.
