This November, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley invites guests to sip from the fountain of youth and travel through time celebrating nearly 50 years of innovative theatre with its fall gala TheatreWorks Everlasting, inspired by the themes of its upcoming holiday production Tuck Everlasting. Established in Palo Alto in 1970, TheatreWorks has grown over the past 48 years into one of the largest theatre companies in the Bay Area, and one of the nation's leading presenters of new works. National Alliance For Musical Theatre Announces Directors & Musical Directors For FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS

National Alliance for Musical Theatre announces the line-up of directors for their 30th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26, 2018 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). The Festival events will kick off on Monday, October 22 with Thank You, 30!, a gala event to celebrate the 30th Annual Festival.

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble Presents THE DINGDONG: OR HOW THE FRENCH KISS

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE), the professional Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage (COD) opens its 2018-2019 season with "The Dingdong, or How the French Kiss," a new adaptation by Mark Shanahan from "Le Dindon" by Georges Feydeau. Five actors play 13 roles in this bubbly, fast-paced adaptation of Feydeau's classic directed by BTE Artistic Director Connie Canaday Howard, where opening the wrong door can lead to mayhem, giggles and ultimately some unexpected understandings of a happy marriage. The play runs Sept. 6-Oct. 7. There will be a preview Sept. 6. Press opening is Friday, Sept. 7.   

THE TORSO By Paige Esterly Comes to TNC's Dream Up Fest, 9/6-16

In 'The Torso' by Paige Esterly, directed by Laura Holland, an unemployed young woman begins finding mannequin body parts around her apartment. The parts symbolize her malaise as she awkwardly transitions into adulthood. Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival will present the play's world premiere August 26 to September 16.

Strawdog Theatre Presents THE REVOLUTIONISTS

Strawdog Theatre Company is pleased to continue its 31st season with THE REVOLUTIONISTS, Lauren M. Gunderson's brutal comedic quartet about four very real women who lived boldly during the French Revolution's Reign of Terror, directed by Denise Yvette Serna.

Rebel Playhouse & Lawrence Arts Center Present New Musical About Non-Binary Youth

The Lawrence Arts Center and NYC-based theater company Rebel Playhouse are pleased to present the workshop production of a new musical, THE FANTASTICAL DANGEROUS JOURNEY OF Q, written by Ric Averill with music by Dax Dupuy, directed and choreographed by Sarah Sutliff, and with music direction by Christina Bottley. The show features the talents of local actors as well as that of Clara Kundin, a Lawrence native who is returning to the city from NYC to perform in the show.

National Alliance For Musical Theatre To Celebrate Its 30th Annual Festival Of New Musicals

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director) is celebrating its 30th Annual Festival of New Musicals this year, and in recognition of that milestone, NAMT will host a month-long new musicals celebration this September. During New Musicals Month, NAMT will celebrate and honor the groundbreaking work their members do year-round to develop new work.
