Family Tree is a fresh collection of spirited songs that celebrate coming together, family history, Black joy and accomplishments. Don't miss the virtual album release party on Saturday July 17 at 8pm ET/7pm CT.

SHEDINBURGH Fringe Festival, the global shed-sation of 2020 is back for another packed edition of the best Fringe theatre, comedy, music, spoken word plus exciting new strands including a brand new Originals script series and SHEDx talks from famous faces, renowned writers and experts from the world of culture.

This new initiative allows Professional Company Members to receive up to $10,000 to subsidize as much as 50 percent of the fee of a woman stage director or conductor who is contracted for the first time by the company.

This 2021 Boston Pops July 4th Spectacular will be a televised, live-streamed concert to take place under the direction of Keith Lockhart from the stage of Tanglewood’s Koussevitzky Music Shed, Sunday, July 4, 8-11 p.m., broadcast live on Bloomberg TV and Radio, as well as locally on WHDH-TV Channel 7.

734 plays were submitted from writers based from London to Mumbai, New York to LA to Melbourne. These were shortlisted to 10 finalists by the Platform Presents co-founders and script readers.

Following careful consideration of recent recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Tri-Town Health Department, and the BSO’s own team of consultants, including 9Foundations, Tanglewood will increase its attendance capacity to 9,000, accommodating an approximate 50% capacity level for all performances (typical capacity is 18,000), July 9–August 31.

The Shed, HERE, and Musical Theatre Factory will present Chronicle X by playwright, director, and performer Nia Witherspoon as part of Open Call at The Shed. Chronicle X is the first work in The Dark Girl Chronicles, a ritual-play cycle designed to crystallize in the collective memory the stories of Black women warriors against state violence.

The Barn Theatre School will bring back live on-stage performances to Augusta this summer, especially after the pandemic shut down live performances and theatres all across the country last year.

Open Call is The Shed’s large-scale commissioning program for early-career NYC-based artists. For its second iteration, 27 artists have been selected by interdisciplinary professionals and leaders in their fields, including artists and Shed staff, to present work starting this June through next year.

St. Ann’s Warehouse, capping a year in which they have activated their flexible Brooklyn waterfront theater by bringing art outdoors, will finally welcome artists and audiences back inside with two socially distanced concert presentations by The Bengsons, produced in partnership with longtime St. Ann’s collaborator piece by piece productions. 

The song was produced by Konscience Beatz and the album art is by Ignatius Arts. 'Pick It Up' will be available on all digital platforms April 5.
