FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training proudly announces casting for the inaugural season of Dog Days Theatre, a new theater project offering smart, contemporary works just light enough for the dog days of summer. Each summer, Dog Days Theatre will feature two plays mounted in the Cook Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts, using professional actors, directors and designers from the community and around the country along with the talents of the Conservatory's graduate students.

Producers Fox Stage Productions and Aged In Wood Productions have announced plans to adapt the blockbuster film WORKING GIRL into a Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winner Cyndi Lauper and book by FOX TV's 'New Girl' writer and Tigers Be Still playwright Kim Rosenstock. WORKING GIRL is based upon the Twentieth Century Fox motion picture written by Kevin Wade.

BroadwayWorld is celebrating GROUNDHOG DAY on Broadway with 5 Fun Facts about Andy Karl! Groundhog Day tells the story of Phil Connors (Andy Karl), a disgruntled big-city weatherman mysteriously stuck in small-town America reliving the same day over and over and over again. The musical made its world premiere try-out at The Old Vic in London in summer 2016 and opened at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway on 17 April 2017.
Zoe Kazan's New Play AFTER THE BLAST to Open LCT3's 2017-18 Season

LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater will open its 2017-2018 season with AFTER THE BLAST, a new play by Zoe Kazan, to be directed by Lila Neugebauer, beginning performances Saturday, October 7 and running for six weeks only through Sunday, November 19 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). Opening night is Monday, October 23.

The story's three central characters are each longing for acceptance from their peers, their loved ones, or themselves in the way that is all too familiar for anyone who's ever been an awkward teenager. of Pulitzer Prize-winner Lynn Nottage's Intimate Apparel, a story of an African-American seamstress living in 1905 New York City pursuing her dreams of love and independence. Directed by Jade King Carroll, Intimate Apparel will run from May 5 to June 4.

Audience members reported that before singing 'So In Love' O'hara said 'I may or may not be singing this role soon on Broadway.'

Geffen Playhouse and online theater streaming service BroadwayHD today announced a partnership to present select live and captured-live productions from the Los Angeles theater to BroadwayHD subscribers. The Geffen's current production of Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning Long Day's Journey Into Night, starring Jane Kaczmarek and Alfred Molina, will be the first play presented under the partnership. It marks BroadwayHD's first live stream from a U.S. theater outside of New York City.
