Loading Dock Theatre will produce a reading of the new horror play, The Pitchforks by Andrew Kramer, on Saturday October 27 and Sunday October 28 at 5pm as a special Halloween offering of The Forklift Reading Series at their space at 170 Tillary St.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) opens its 45th Winter Mainstage Season with the four-time Tony Award-winning musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. Called "A true tour de force" by The New York Times, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder follows Monty Navarro, a lowly born Englishman who suddenly discovers he is eighth in succession to become the Earl of Highurst, and is determined to gain the title…by any means necessary. This critically-acclaimed, knock 'em dead musical, with Book and Lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and Music and Lyrics by Steve Lutvak, will run starting November 7 in FST's Gompertz Theatre.

DEAR EVAN HANSEN, the winner of six Tony Awards (including Best Musical) makes its second stop of its 23-city national tour at the Ahmanson Theatre with opening night set for October 19, 2018. I had the opportunity to sit down with two of the leads of DEAR EVAN HANSEN. After a sold out show in 2017 Johnny and the Devil's Box is coming back to Rockwood! The concert will highlight selections from the new folk musical JOHNNY AND THE DEVIL'S BOX with performances by; George Abud (The Band's Visit), Julie Foldesi (Sunday in the Park with George, Newsies, South Pacific), Don Sparks (Margaritaville), Rema Webb (The Color Purple, Margaritaville), Annabelle Fox, Andrea Laxton, Alex Grubbs, Meghan Glogower, Scott Wasserman and Douglas Waterbury-Tieman. The band features members of The Playbillies Mike Rosengarten (Be More Chill) and Matt Cusack (Bandstand) with guest Billy Cohen.

The Wild Project hosts the World Premiere of HOPE, written and performed by Hope Salas. Directed by Erika Latta, previews begin September 22 at The Wild Project with opening night slated for Wednesday, September 26.

Eowyn Ivey's debut novel The Snow Child is reborn as a magical new musical featuring a score that combines Alaskan string-band traditions and contemporary musical theater. On November 17t, SubCulture will present the show in a concert adaptation featuring KATE BALDWIN, MATT BOGART, FINA STRAZZA, GERARD CANONICO, SALLY MAYES and WILLIAM PARRY.

Brian Tyree Henry joins Millie Bobby Brown as co-star of Legendary's 'Godzilla vs. Kong,' according to Variety. 

Latino Theatre Projects (LTP) and Producing Artistic Director Fernando Luna, in association with Theatre Off Jackson, will present the Pacific Northwest premiere of Brainpeople by prize-winning Puerto Rican playwright Jose Rivera. Brainpeople will be directed by LTP's Producing Artistic Director Fernando Luna. The production will be presented Today-Saturday evenings, October 11 through November 3, 2018 at 8:00 pm. Performances will be bilingual in English with some Spanish phrases. General admission is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Seniors and students are $20.
