Writers in Performance is a 12-week writing and performance workshop hosted by BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, culminating in two public presentations.  Throughout the course of the workshop, talented actors, playwrights, poets and storytellers have explored writing exercises, theater games, improvisation, movement techniques, and ensemble work in a safe, creative environment.

Two of Maine's leading cultural institutions - Maine State Music Theatre (MSMT) in Brunswick and The Public Theatre (TPT) in Lewiston - have partnered together for the first time to bring Grease the Musical to the stage.

Taylor Mac's Holiday Sauce, the latest installment of the artist's award-winning A 24-Decade History of Popular Music project, will return to The Town Hall in New York City for another skewering of the sacred and the secular on Tuesday, December 11th at 8pm. A follow-up to its debut at The Town Hall in December 2017, the show explores Christmas as calamity, upending our yuletide traditions and celebrating the holiday in all of its dysfunction with the families you choose to love.

Graham Alexander Sack, who starred as Arty Kurnitz in the original Broadway production of Neil Simon's LOST IN YONKERS, has joined the cast of Tim Realbuto's revival, taking place on Sunday, December 9th at The Engleman Concert Hall in NYC.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) opens its 45th Winter Mainstage Season with the four-time Tony Award-winning musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. Called "A true tour de force" by The New York Times, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder follows Monty Navarro, a lowly born Englishman who suddenly discovers he is eighth in succession to become the Earl of Highurst, and is determined to gain the title…by any means necessary. This critically-acclaimed, knock 'em dead musical, with Book and Lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and Music and Lyrics by Steven Lutvak, will run starting November 7 in FST's Gompertz Theatre.

LINDSAY MENDEZ and RYAN SCOTT OLIVER present The Actor Therapy Master Series. The AT Master Series allows current and former Actor Therapy students - as well as newcomers not yet affiliated with Actor Therapy - to see an interview, master class, and open Q&A with their favorite artists. Our next master teaching artist will be ALEXANDER GEMIGNANI, hosted by Actor Therapy's Director of Events MATHIEU WHITMAN.

Overall, Keegan Theatre's musical rendition of 'As You Like It' is whimsical and fun, with some light social commentary of love and acceptance. Despite some rough edges, the production is an enjoyable experience.

Tim Realbuto, the New York stage actor who recently wrapped principal photography playing the lead role of Patrick Nolan in YES, his first major motion picture, will conceive, co-direct and produce a revival of Neil Simon's Tony and Pulitzer Prize Award winning play LOST IN YONKERS on Sunday, December 9th at 7:30 pm.

Based on Ron Chernow's 2004 biographical novel titled Alexander Hamilton, the musical, Hamilton, tells the true story of one of America's Founding Fathers, Alexander Hamilton. An immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation's first Treasury Secretary.

As our divided country hurtles towards the all-important mid-term elections, it is becoming increasingly harder not to feel even a bit disenchanted with it all, as we surrender to the feeling that our political system seems to be unfairly rigged. Right smack at the center of the action are people who call themselves lobbyists---people who are hired (and are paid handsomely) by a business, an industry, or a cause to persuade government officials or even promising electoral candidates to support that specific business, industry, or cause that employ them. This is the sphere that surrounds Sarah Burgess' timely new play KINGS, which is now continuing its West Coast Premiere performances at Orange County's South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, CA through November 10. Interesting, intriguing, but slightly too tame and a bit of a promising work-in progress, the play basically presents what most of us already know about the lobby-friendly political arena: in order to stay in 'the game,' you have to be willing to play within it.

Latino Theatre Projects (LTP) and Producing Artistic Director Fernando Luna, in association with Theatre Off Jackson, will present the Pacific Northwest premiere of Brainpeople by prize-winning Puerto Rican playwright Jose Rivera. Brainpeople will be directed by LTP's Producing Artistic Director Fernando Luna. The production will be presented Thursday-Today evenings, October 11 through November 3, 2018 at 8:00 pm. Performances will be bilingual in English with some Spanish phrases.
